Two nights was enough

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Convenient to Kennedy Space Centre
Cons: plumbing was very slow. By the time you finished your shower, the water was half way up your calves. Pillows(?) we used all eight between two of us.
Location: Ok for where we wanted to go. Cracker Barrel Restaurant across the highway was great for dinner.
I was expecting something better. Definitely a lesser motel type.

Bad Night

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Not much!
Cons: Remove this property, and put something new in its place.
Room was filthy. Smelled like sewer waste had backed up at some time in the past, and left a strong odor.

Dear guest, I apologize for the smell of your room. I wish you would of notified us immediately so we could of moved you into another room with an odor. I am having our maintenance staff check the plumbing in that room to see if they can find and eliminate the smell. Thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Jackie Lambert | Guest Relations Quality Inn Kennedy Space Center

Close to Kennedy Space Center

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: The Hotel Staff
Cons: Still going through renovations, so the shower tub was missing a few handles and the USB-AC/DC recharger wasn't working.
Location: Close to Kennedy Space Center and the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum. And, about 25 minutes from Cocoa Beach.
We were there during our visit to the Kennedy Space Center. The Hotel Staff were excellent -- especially, Becca, the ray of sunshine that was there taking care of the breakfast area. At check-in, the Hotel Manager gave us an information guide to KSC - helping us plan out our day there. Yes, the hotel is still going through renovations, but it didn't deter us from using the pool or getting nice clean beds and a good place to stay right off the interstate.

Run down, old, icky

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Location. We were headed to Kennedy Space Center.
Cons: Brighter lighting in the rooms and a good overall scrubbing and freshening up.
It was spring break and we booked our trip late so this is what was available -- it was expensive for for whatit was but the hotel was completely sold out so that pretty much says it all -- spring break. It was quiet and seemed safe. The staff was polite and welcoming when we checked in around 9 p.m. The room was shabby and very dark. When we arrived, there was a private party in their common room and there was a couple making out in the pool -- my kids (12 and 8) thought that was both gross and hilarious! This is a motel so, of course, stairwells and walkways are outside and all felt generally dirty and grubby. The room seamed clean but it was very dimly lit so it was honestly a bit hard to tell -- my husband wouldn't let the kids walk around barefoot. That probably sums it up. We skipped the free breakfast.

Pros: Fridge and Microwave in room were good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location is a plus.
It is close to Space Centre, golfing nearby, good birding within easy travel distance including at Blue Heron Wetlands which is very close.

Staff sent me to an occupied room on second floor at back of motel. Then booked me into second floor of another building. I spent a lot of time and energy toting luggage up and down stairs.

I would not recommend this motel. Very old.

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: New flat screen TV.
Cons: Big time renovations. New doors, windows, furniture, carpet, bathroom fixtures.
Location: Near Dixie Crossroads a popular resturant off I-95.
As mentioned older motel. Curtains, carpet, showing their age. Cleanliness ??

The breakfast is disgusting . Very few choices. The room smelled like a locker room.
