“Great stay.”

We are a family of four and the room had plenty of space. The location to the beach was great. It is an older facility, but personally we prefer the older because it is roomier and with children I wasn't on edge all the time afraid that something was going to be ruined. The room was clean and housekeeping seemed to live right around the corner and was just waiting for us to ask for ANYTHING! It will be a trip remembered fondly!

The Beach, Space Center and all the shops. Great casual dinning everywhere.

“The Pit”

This was the worst hotel I was have ever stayed at. It was filthy and old. There were cobwebs, dirty mirror, black tub, filthy carpet, no tv in the bedrooms, sloppy patch job of a hole in the bedroom door.

Area recommendations

On Atlantic Ave. on the Atlantic side.

When to go

I think it's best to go in the Spring and Fall.

“Affordable but worn out”

The staff was friendly and helpful; the exterior of the building was attractive and bright. Landscaping was well kept, and the pool seemed to be in good order. The price was low and enticing, so against the reviews we made our reservation. The room was large, having a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms (3 beds – 1 king, 1 full, and 1 twin). The room certainly shows its age and is in stark contrast to the bright well kept exterior. The beds were extremely soft and for us uncomfortable. The hotel was not close to the beach as advertised which was disappointing. Lastly, it seems the building has mice. We left a mostly eaten piece of pizza on a plate next to the couch, in the morning the plate was moved and the left over pizza was behind the couch. We wanted badly to like the hotel, and we hate giving bad reviews but unfortunately there isn’t a good review to be given.

“Great experience!”

The hotel is older but is kept clean. The pool is nice and was heated. The staff was VERY friendly. This is a perfect location for families looking for enough space for everyone. We had family staying at another resort a block away and their room was small. Our suite was large enough to accommodate everyone. We had been eating out all week until we arrived at Wakula. We used the gas grills to cook meals. It was a great break from restaurants and fast food. We had a pool view room which was convenient. We walked to the beach and then used the pool. The hotel has rental chairs, umbrellas, body boards, and surf boards for a very reasonable price. The person working at the beach was extremely nice. The garden is pretty and interesting. The plants have signs to say what they are and where they are from. My kids loved it! There is a laundry facility available. The location is excellent, the rooms are large, the facility is well kept, and the staff is friendly. I would definately stay again.

“will never go back”

I went to this hotel with my kids 10 yrs ago and it was great. this year I was very disappointed. on the weekends it was like a big party people drinking and drunk everywhere till well after midnight this is not a place I would take my kids they have a whole list of rules but nobody enforces them there were glass bottles at the pool people blasting there radios and the kids that were there nobody was watching them I would not go to this hotel ever again
