Good for a night or twoPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Convenience and service
Cons: Full air-con
I wasn't expecting much, but the hotel staff were excellent, friendly, and very welcoming. The room was warm, a little hot, but comfortable. Certainly I would recommend the hotel to all who are staying for a weekend (like me). There is also parking.

Great place to stay when on businessPosted Jan 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
I regularly stay at the Red Lion Hotel when I work near Spalding. The hotel has everything you need when on business: Somewhere to park your car, Ironing board for your shirts (on request), WiFi for email and a good breakfast to set you up for the day. The hotel is essentially a pub with rooms upstairs, however I have never had any trouble with noise. The beds are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly.

Friendly staff, nice pub style hotelPosted Apr 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very friendly staff, very helpful. The rooms are nice in an old-style inn way and the location, looking out on the market square, is amazing. Good breakfast, no evening meal in the hotel but gave me a great recommendation. I would stay again. I've been in less good hotels that have 3 stars, don't let the 2 star put you off.

Staff were very helpful, traditional type of establishment, few mod cons. Beer was good.

Central location, friendly and helpful staffPosted Feb 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
I chose The Red Lion because it is located in the centre of town, close to shops, pubs and restaurants. With parking right outside the hotel and a recommendation of a good Indian restaurant round the corner by the reception it was a good choice, only really let down by the fact the room would benefit from a refit, especially the bathroom as the shower was very poor.
