“Would stay here again when visiting the area.”

It was a little difficult to find trying to use Expedia maps with poorly marked roads but once we did it was a great find. We are an older couple who stayed over after a cruise to look at the area and condos for retirement. It was very clean and modern and had very friendly staff. We enjoyed good weather but with the indoor pool and spa could have spent more time there. Enjoyed a good soak in the spa.

Area recommendations

Not many fine restaurants are convenient except for the one at the Bass Pro Shop. We recommend a stop there for some casual fining. The HUGE aquarium alone in the dining room is worth the trip, even if you don't go in the store. Turn right on the highway to go up the hill and into town for fast food. Otherwise it is about an hour drive to Gulf Shores for the beach and much less to Fair Hope and Foley. When visiting Mobile, don't forget the Battleship Alabama and try the Royal Scam restaurant downtown. Just avoid the noon rush and eat at about 1 PM. Fantastic fish tacos. Bring quarters for street parking. The lots are full. For the downtown area, Expedia maps are very useful. Just study the one-way street signs on the map. Downtown has older, narrow streets that move at a calm pace so it is easy to park.

“Satisfied Customer”

The staff was very friendly and informative and seemed to care about their guests. The hotel room was very clean and the bathroom was larger than most. The breakfast buffet included waffles, which my husband loves. I would stay at this hotel again, if we are in the area. Our only disappointment was the difficulty we had finding the hotel. It is situated in a shopping area below the main road and you cannot see their sign from the road. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

“Just our impressions.”

Lobby was like an iceberg. Had to wear a coat. Computers didn't work so we could not use them while there to check on our business. Not good. Towels were like paper-way too thin, didn't dry. Blackout curtains were torn and so wouldn't keep the light out.

“Not impressed will never go back”

The staff at the front desk were wonderful very friendly and sincere. However the waffle maker never worked and on the third day management decided to put out frozen waffles to compensate. The second day a group came in from a Church that was mostly kids with few adults and they were allowed to run the halls and slam the room doors until 2 in the morning. We could not use the pool, which was the size of a tub in some hotels, due to the amount of kids throwing things and carrying on with no supervision. We were finally allowed to go next door to the pool there. The beds in the room were horrible. The hotel is so new map quest or any gps could not find the address so we searched for 30 minutes. We will never go back and will chose a different franchise.
