Overall a great hotel and helpful staff. Pros: clean, modern, lots of amenities. Excellent beach across the street. Has parking. We really enjoyed our stay. Cons: it is about15-20 min drive to Split, but in the morning it took us over an hour to reach Split. This is due to only 1 road that crosses the river and its lights flash amber (no traffic control). This was consistent over the 3 days we passed by the area. Also, turning into the property is difficult depending on which way you arrive, but this is minor. Google maps will take you through a longer but better route. Laundry service is 15 euros

Johnny’s apartment was a great place to stay. It’s located just a short walk across the road to the beach, restaurants and bars. About a 5 minute walk south and you’ll find a bakery and grocery store. The balcony views of the sea are fantastic, the staff was helpful and very friendly. The only downside fur is was the apartment unit we had was quite small and the bed wasn’t overly comfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay and beautiful place.

Wonderful apartment and location!
Wonderful location, great staff and very clean. Close to bus stop for easy ride into Split. The beach is directly across the street. Very comfortable apartment with great balcony and view of the sea. One of the best places we stayed on our vacation!

Clean and comfortable room with sea view
Very clean and comfortable room, and near enough to Split and yet quiet neighbourhood. Very nice view of the Adriatic coast if you have a room with a balcony. Good place to stay to avoid paying for pricey hotels in Split. Highly recommended if you are not looking at an accommodation without the full hotel service but good value for money inclusive of a breakfast.

Nice and clean, great sea view
I can recommend it to anyone looking to stay at an apartment in this area. The rooms are modern and clean. I recommend taking the bigger room with the balcony to enjoy the sea view.

Perfect Place But Hotels.com Overcharged
Apartments Johnny was perfect for my wife and I on our vacation. The staff we're extremely helpful, the building is newly renovated and in great condition, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was a fault on hotels.com who sneakily charged 3 times the normal rate on one of the nights because of a festival. But the festival was in a town 15 minutes away and the traffic had no impact on Apartments Johnny. We felt ripped off by hotels.com

One bedroom apartment by the Mediterranean sea.
This was a modern apartment set on the hill over looking the sea. Every thing like new. balcony can get your wash dry quickly. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Air-conditioner was powerful. The owner had a Master degree spoke very good English. Next time I will stay a little longer here than Dubrovnik.

Good Value Accomodation
Good standard of accomodation. Johnny very friendly and helpfull. Very clean. We went in low season so not much was open in Podstrana, but only 10 minutes in the car from Split which is lovely. We'd go again.

Great view!
We arrived close to midnight and arranged for a transfer with Johnny. He was waiting for us when we landed. First night we were in a room without a balcony, but the next morning, Johnny moved us to a great room with an amazing view of the sea. The location is a little out of Split, but it's a fairly easy bus ride and the bus stop is right outside the hotel (buses every 30 minutes). There's also a small bakery and supermarket nearby, and a cafe which looked nice (we didn't try it though). Overall, it was a nice place for a relaxing weekend.

Inexpensive Adriatic Jewel
Apartments Johnny is a no-frill, clean, and confortable apartment with balconies looking out over the Adriatic. The rooms were very large, for Europe, and extremely clean. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. With walking distance is a 4-5 star hotel "Le Meridian" with a quality lounge and restaurant. Split is not within walking distance, but we had a car and had no problem finding parking at the harbor in Split. I'd stay again.

Apartments Johnny is a really nice place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the sun. When we arrived we were given a room with a balcony that didn't face the Sea but Johnny moved us the next day to a much nicer, sea-facing room - very accommodating. There are a few restaurants available nearby, but for a greater choice you have to take a 30 minute bus ride to Split. The buses are about every half an hour, but are unreliable and arrive at different times. There is a very small local supermarket nearby and a bakers for breakfast. The appartments themselves are very nicely kept and the air conditioning is brilliant at night. My only grumble is that we asked Johnny to arrange a taxi from the airport and it didn't come. The bus, however, is quite easy to do and is a lot cheaper than a taxi. Overall I would recommend Appartments Johnny for a relaxing break.

best bargain for Split
The building and all of the furnishings are new; new tile, new beds, new TVs (local and satellite), new tile througout. Even the hallways have plug in air fresheners! The Johhny Apartments have the feeling of a 5 star resort and the staff is ever friendly and helpful. The ocean view is gorgeous, just about 80 meters from the beach and the local bus stops just outside. I prefered to stay here than in Split as it is more economical and the local bus is a fun way to meet locals and see the sights, the trip is short, maybe 10 to 15 mins. I cannot say enough about this establishment, if I return to Split, I will stay here.

Formidable séjour
Nous avons passé 8 nuits début août 2023 dans l'appartement 7 (balcon vue sur mer). L'appartement est conforme aux photos publiées sur le site. Il est très confortable et il y a tout le nécessaire pour se faire un repas. Balcon suffisant pour 2 personnes où nous avons pris tous les matins et le soir nos repas. Salle de bain petite mais très propre et fonctionnelle. Climatisation silencieuse qui est un plus. Agréable surprise pour nous, le ménage était fait très régulièrement. Tout est à proximité : supérette et boulangerie. La plage est située à 3 minutes à pied avec bars et restos. Sans compter le personnel qui était très réactif à nos demandes. Bref, nous recommandons fortement.

Special thank you to Dina. Wonderfull person!! Good appartement but to go to the beach there's a road to cross that i find dangerous for children. The beach is a "urban" beach with a lot people, restaurant, ect... but the landscape is very beautiful and people nice. Even so very pleasant place ! to go to Split there is only one road where there is a lot of traffic... have to be patient... My childen and I we loved excursion! Croatie is a Wonderfull Country!!

vue partielle sur mer pour contorsionniste !!!!
Attention pour l'appartement vue PARTIELLE sur mer, il faut être contorsionniste. Il faut se positionner au fond du petit balcon de la chambre et pencher la moitié du corps ! Le balcon du salon-cuisine donne sur une cour intérieure où déjeune une dizaine de personnes ; on peut y prendre son petit déjeuner mais on ne se sent pas seule !! Sinon, l'appartement situé à 5 mn de la plage et de deux restaurants est tout neuf et très bien décoré - rien à redire sur l'appartement. Place de parking disponible non négligeable.

Sympaattinen henkilökunta ja hyvä sijainti autolla
Hotelli on autolla matkustavalle kätevä tapa nähdä Splitiä ja lähiseutua, tosin turistisesongin aikaan tie on kovin ruuhkainen. Hotelli vaikuttaa uudelta ja modernilta. Henkilökunta oli hotellin paras asia, aamiaisleidi sekä respan henkilökunta olivat sydämellisiä ja todella avuliaita. Hotellilta on vain kivenheitto läheiselle Podstranan rannalle. Aamiainen on simppeli, mutta kaikki perusasiat löytyy.

Mysigt familjärt hotell
Jätte mysigt och familjärt hotell bara 5 min gångväg till stranden. Familjen som driver hotellet är super trevliga och hjälpte oss mer än gärna med vägbeskrivningar, boka taxi och att svara på alla våra frågor :) Dom bor i samma byggnad så det var bara att ringa på knappen så kom någon alltid ut. Rummet var jätte fräscht och sängarna var skön. Jätte smidigt att ta bussen in till Split då busshållplatsen ligger precis nedanför hotellet. Hit kommer vi gärna tillbaka igen.
