We had a decent experience at the Authentic Luxury Rooms. Neat and tidy little room within a short walking distance of the old town. Our sea view was only viewable from the bathroom, a lovely view when you’re sitting on the loo. We requested a deluxe double bed but this was two singles pushed together and unfortunately didn’t provide good support as the mattresses were too soft for our liking. The area is nice and quiet and close to a grocery store and to Split Ferry Port and main train station, very convenient location. Breakfast is very basic with mini croissants, spreads, a couple of cold meats and some cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee and juices. What really made our experience were the staff, everyone we dealt with were absolutely wonderful, and no request was an inconvenience. Everyone was very friendly and provided exceptional hospitality. Thank you for your excellent and gracious service.

Very nice and modern room less then a 10 minute walk to the Promenade. The rooms are actually in a different location about 5 minutes from where you check in We found out at checkin that they only accept CASH for their rooms, no credit cards. If you do not have the cash on hand they direct you to the ATM machine outside their door that charges 19.9% conversion fee.

Let me start by saying I'd give the Authentic Luxury Hotel 6 stars if I could! First thing I noticed is when I would ask questions, I'd get a quick response via Expedia. And the staff would ask questions, i.e., do you need transportation from/to the airport? As soon as we landed in Split, our driver was there with a sign to alert us who we were looking for. He was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed to Split. We arrived a bit early and were greeted by Ivana (who was fabulous). She told us we could leave our luggage in the reception area (a small office where breakfast is also served) and that they would put them in our room for us when the rooms are ready. Since Americans are used to a "hotel" where it may be multiple floors in one building, it is different in Croatia. The actual hotel has 2 different buildings - 2 of the rooms were just a few steps away in the same building as the office. It was extremely warm & humid so the air conditioning was a welcome! Breakfast consisted of cheeses, meats, croissants, bread, pastries, boiled egg, coffee and juice which was a perfect start to the day. Since we were boarding a ship the next day, we needed help getting our luggage to the boat and we were assisted by Mario (hope I have your name right!). To walk to your boat with luggage is not unusual and we appreciated his help! When returning from our cruise (which was also fabulous) we stayed again especially since it was so wonderful the first time.

Really disappointed. While our room was nice, the entire building was being remodeled around us, I would not be so bothered by this fact if they had told us before we arrived. At one point when leaving the building I had to yell for them to stop so we could walk out the front door because debris was falling from the scaffolding that was all around the building. Really NOT fair ☹️

The hotel staff was very nice and attentive. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there is no elevators. The stairs are steep and dangerous. My daughter fell on the stairs they were very slippery. Breakfast was good.

Great location and friendly hosts
A very central location just a few minutes walk from the ferries and the Palace so very convenient for day and evening activities on foot. The room was very comfortable and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is buffet style and enough to keep going until lunch. We had a small table and chairs for an outside space which was welcome.

The place is in an excellent location right in the city center and a short walk from the important places. The atmosphere in the location is amazing. The reception area is about 2 blocks from the actual rooms. You have to take your luggage two blocks and then walk up 3 flights of stairs. Staff was very nice and the room was nice. However, The walk up those stairs was not worth it.

Yes, the Deluxe rooms are located at the annex which is 130m away from the main house and the rooms are located on the 2nd floor without an elevator as the building is UNESCO protected. Everything is stated on expedia - sorry if you overlooked it. Our staff is there to help with luggage but you left early and we were expecting you at Breakfast to arrange your check-out. Mario and his team were brilliant and could not do more to help. He organised the airport transfers there and back and was so much help before we even traveled. The rooms were super, breakfast was excellent and it was located in such a convenient part of Split. Close to the bars, restaurants, shops, beach and ferry. There was even a super restaurant next door and a bar across the road. They took the time to show us where everything was both in the apartment and in Split itself, he even told us what time to set off for the ferry to Hvar and where it was! lol I would give the whole experience 6 stars if I could!!

Dear fellow globe-trotters, I would like to commend the Authentic Palace Spa in Split due to several reasons. Firstly, the place is always clean and neat. I stayed there for a week and everyday my room is perfectly clean. Moreover, staff(Mario and Maria) are very friendly and helpful. We are the last street reachable by car as well. Regarding your complaint for the massage shower. Of course there was no massage shower in your room because you booked our Romantic Double Room with a jacuzzi tub for 2, as mentioned in the room description on Hotels.com If you'd wished the massage shower I'm sure our staff would have make a room change possible - but you didn't mention anything upon check-in. My stay at this hotel was nothing short of wonderful. I was very pleased with the reception, the location, and the cleanliness. The hosts were very warm and friendly. I felt welcomed and was very well taken care of. They served a nice continental breakfast which included local produce like figs and dates. The location is very central. You are near the old palace, the little mountain called Marian, the beach, the port, and the bus terminal! I stayed on the ground floor so there was no view they do have rooms with a view of the sea. Very pleased with my stay and I'm looking forward to returning in the summer. Highly recommend.

Clean Modern Space and Friendly Reception
Easy check-in and friendly reception. Was upgraded to a larger room without additional feeds. Comfortable, clean, and modern space. Good location. Near the bus terminal and 10-15 min walk to city center. I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

My stay was for one night. The room was beautiful. Ancient with modern twist. I especially liked the shower. It had a built in radio and back massage/multi direction blast function. Walkway and.stairs to our room could be improved. Property should invest in an ice maker. LED lighting throughout the property would be a smart investment. Securing.down the safety deposit box or boxes should be looked at. Property was close to good restaurants, port and attractions. Overall we found the property met our expectations and would stay there again.

The staff was very kind and helpful. They communicate well with guests and each other. Rooms were clean, quiet, updated, and relaxing. Nice views of the water. We were unable to attend breakfast due to an early flight, but the staff delivered sandwiches and water bottles for us the night prior.

Convenient location near Old Town. The rooms are quite spacious with modern facilities. The staff are all extremely friendly and happy to go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable

From start to finish the service from the staff was great. The room was clean and in great order. The only issue I had is rather than free coffee and a rather low end breakfast, they would provide free parking instead as an amenity as the cost of this hotel is already very high. Otherwise this is the perfect stay for a couple as it is right downtown and close to the beach and tourist areas.

LOCATION: right beside a cute neighbourhood with cafés etc, and a supermarket just a few metres away. Plenty of street parking around. Our room was about a 10 minute walk from the reception office/breakfast location. It was located in an old building, which does not look nice from the outside, but the interior is clean and an interesting historical site. There is no elevator.

The annex is 120m away, about a 3min walk away from the Reception :) We are located in a Heritage protected area and most houses are very old and you can tell they do by its look.
