Okay experience - could be much better!
Good design/architecture, comfortable rooms (we slept well!) and some nice staff members, shout out to Krishan who works on the pool bar - he was very welcoming everyday. Pool is too small for hotel and never possible to get a sun bed due to typical reservation tactics and the hotel does not monitor or enforce its policies of this not being allowed. I mentioned the issue to the hotel reception - they acknowledged the issue but didn’t want to be involved and said I have the right to remove the towels. Food was okay - breakfast is great selection and no problems here, whilst the dinner is very average. Worth noting that on penultimate day of holiday I was struck with severe food poisoning and was bed bound on the final day. Location is great if you want to relax and enjoy a pebble beach with crystal clear waters. Good snorkelling spots and paddle boarding. Go in September as this area is far too busy in peak summer. Be warned that it’s 22euros for 2 beds and a parasol! Nice promenade for walk with some restaurants and bars, but no traditional shops or streets to explore. The mountain provides good hiking and cycling trails but make sure you are well stocked with provisions.

Hotel is newly renovated and in great condition, but there are a few odd things missing - why they didn’t paint the outside bleak concrete to make it more appealing? Once inside the hotel is beautiful. Rooms are very small - NYC small, and double room is two twin beds ( together or apart). Bathroom has a weird 1/2 glass wall that looks into the room - couldn’t understand the purpose of it. Privacy is not an issue since they put the curtain over it, but the issue is if you need to use the bathroom at night - the light will wake up your travel companion. It could be easily remedied by blackout curtains but no one thought of it. The whole set up also makes the mirror almost unusable. Only 1 small and 1 large towel per person, although maid was always happy to give extra if asked. No beach towels - or at least no one informs you how to obtain them - I found by chance that you pay 5 HKN per towel and you can get them - again odd for a 4* beach property. Breakfast buffet was good but closes early 10am. Restaurant on site was tasty. Very friendly staff everywhere. Lovely spa and indoor/outdoor pool. Gym is small and lacking some basic equipment but overall not too bad. Hotel has no beach chairs or loungers for the guests so you are on your own finding the place on the beach. The best part is the Brela itself and the amazing nature around the hotel. All in all, lovely stay, would likely to return.

Amazing location and nice atmosphere but service could be improved. You need to rent beach towels and they don’t seem to have everything under control when you ask for assistance with transfers or excursions. Overall satisfied with our stay! Ask for a room on the northern side if you are a light sleeper as there is a church bell close to the the reception which rings every hour and morning call at 6 am.

Beautiful hotel in prime location. We did half board and the food was average. Breakfast was decent, dinner just ok. The room was spacious and clean (We booked a junior suite). The view is covered by pine trees, so don’t select this property for the ocean view, although just as wonderful. The main issue for us was parking. The hotel is an hour away from Split airport, so we rented a car. There is no parking on property and valet will drive your car to a parking lot two blocks away, but they refuse to bring it back, so you have to walk and get it yourself. Keep in mind this is a walk on the hills (Not easy and very narrow roads in and out of the parking lot). Beach towels are not free and you can only rent them at the spa. Even though they are a beach front property, you have to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas (Public beach). We would stay there again if they had better prices, not worth what we paid for.

Incredible service, lovely setting.
Bluesun Hotel was a solid, 3-4 star hotel experience on the Dalmation Coast. The property is well maintained and offers beautiful setting/views and convenient access to the beachfront. Everything was clean and in good condition both in the room and the facilities. Service was especially good. Our waiter at the hotel restaurant was extremely friendly (especially to our 7 year old daughter) and very attentive. The next morning we were 20 minutes late for breakfast closing and the staff offered each of us a full plate from the kitchen with coffee and drinks. They were so kind! The concierge was also amazing. She helped my wife track down aspirin after-hours and helped us book multiple ferries for later in our trip. The one negative part of our experience was that they could not honor our booking of a seaview room upon arrival. However, it was a late arrival and the staff gave us a large suite as compensation. They were also able to move us to a seaview room the next day. Again, service was excellent and staff made every effort to smooth over the mix up. Securing our seaviews was a problem throughout our trip as we stayed at multiple resorts for only a few days each. I recommend making longer reservations at fewer properties if the particulars of the room are important to you.

The parking situation did not run as smooth. I had to walk down the stairs to check-in. Staff did not assist us to park our car and instead showed us where to park. Then i had to wait for him to walk back and forth to get a parking tag. The hotel staff also did not assist us with our luggage during check-in. We had so much luggage that we struggled to bring it up. The least they could’ve done was to provide us with a luggage cart. I’ve messaged them saying it was a birthday celebration, they did not do anything special. They also didn’t offer paid welcome amenities when I inquired, I would’ve done so if they did. The partial sea view was more of the front parking lot and trees. Breakfast was ok. I’m not sure why they have chose to serve instant coffee. I would choose another hotel in the future.

The hotel was in the nice area. Views are beautiful. Promenade along the sea cost is very romantic. However upon our arrival with little baby the room was not prepared and the locker was out of order so we couldn’t get in. We had to walk down to reception several times until they sent someone to fix the door. It was very inconvenient for us as the baby was crying and we couldn’t settle. The treatment in the spa doesn’t much the description. Other than that a lovely place to stay as the views are beautiful.

Other then a long walk down from the bus at the highway, this hotel offers a great location, close to all beaches and shops. Rooms were very spacious, with a patio to dry your towels and swimsuits. It also provided a great breakfast buffet.

Great hotel in a great location
Very welcoming staff who responded quickly and without delay to an issue with our room just after check in and were able to move us without any fuss. The hotel was kept to a high standard of cleanliness and the facilities were v good. Would return/recommend; especially good for families. The only slight concern was the parking- you leave your keys with reception who then park it off site; since we had a hire car, we worried about it being dinged but actually it was fine. Oh and there was a music festival for 2 nights of our stay (out of their control) but we had ear plugs so was all fine!

Exceeded expectations!... Really lovely stay
Brilliant stay. Haven’t done half board for years as usually self cater but was pleasantly surprised. The morning breakfast buffet had ample choice and the evening was nice maybe not catered so much for English cuisine but lots of nice choices none the less. Rooms were really clean and newly referbished. Check in and out was easy. Hotel was great location with regards to the other shops and restaurants. Will definitely return! Lovely lunch at the Punta Rata beach restaurant suitated 5 minute walk along from the hotel.. also part of the Bluesun hotels chain.

Amazing location. Hotel right on the shingle often bright blue beach. Water is crystal clear and very clean. Sun sets are spectacular. This is a stunning part of the world. Room was great, definitely go for sea view. Everything is very clean and staff are keen to please if not a little shy. But that’s cultural. Wouldn’t go for half board. B&B is fine. Dinner buffet is decidedly average and menu fatigue quickly sets in. And the wine is quite expensive. So you’re better to eat and drink locally. The place is great for kids and young Families. But it’s still also fine for couples. Avoid kids pool if you’re not a parent with young ones, no surprise there. Main Pool is lovely, despite the ‘no putting towels on sun beds before you lie down on them’ rule, this is ignored, and by day 6 we joined the rest and got up early to bag our beds. Tonnes of a wide variety of restaurants moments either side of hotel for a wide range of options. If you want more than the basic Obid is exceptional and very close. Trip advisor is surprisingly accurate for restaurant reviews. So take your pick. Not sure the hotel night time entertainment was up too much. Lots going on that’s better elsewhere. This definitely isn’t party central. It all goes quite by mid night. So if it’s clubbing and dancing this ideal. Recommend ‘clickandboat.com’ to hire your own boat to go island hopping. Not massively more than the packed out group boats and a lot more fun. This is a truly wonderful place. We will be back.

Great location, possibly the best in the area with close access to great beaches. Hotel pool facilities are helpful for shade. You base there and rotate between beaches. Very friendly and helpful staff, free parking, buffet breakfast and dinner are definitely worth it. Half biard option is recommended. Overall, great place for a vacation.

Fantastic location. Breakfasts and dinners were very enjoyable. Indoor/outdoor pools were gorgeous but unheated in May and the children's pools were not available. Our bathroom, on the other hand, was over-heated. Our double bed was two singles that were prone to sliding apart and away from the wall. The room was otherwise pleasant and clean.

We’d be back in a heartbeat!
We had a wonderful stay in Brela. The hotel is spotlessly clean and modern; both the rooms and the communal areas are lovely to spend time in. The food is without a doubt the best we’ve had in a hotel buffet, really fresh local produce and lots of great flavours. Often hotel food can be bland in big hotels but everything was delicious! We also really enjoyed the cocktail bar. The surrounding area was beautiful and the prices in the bars and restaurants so reasonable. Loved it!

We were stay in Soline on Sept 2018, room 304. It was an exselent stay, clean water, breath taking weiw from the balcony, great beach for sweemlovers. Frendly staf, good mill.We are planning to be back!!!

Nice hotel, wonderful location right on the beach
Fabulously located hotel right on beautiful Brela beach, had an amazing day in the spa, felt relaxed and very comfy in my room with view of the sea. Beautiful surroundings for walks and good location for visiting Split, Makarska, Mostar and the islands of Brac and Hvar if you have time!

One of my best hotel experiences in Croatia
This was one of the best accommodations in Croatia. The staff was extremely pleasant and professional, the room was clean, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and the location of the hotel (right on the beach) could not have been better. I was extremely impressed with my stay and will definitely be coming back next year.

Best vacation ever
The service was amazing. They had the best food, clean rooms, great pools & right on the beach. We also enjoyed the live entertainment every night, which any child would love! 10/10!

Stylish hotel, potential to be even better though.
The style, staff and location made this hotel for us. Its bigger than online images give the impression of with many more hotel guest than I expected. Still there is plenty of room around the big indoor/outdoor pool and even more room on the pebble beach which is endless in a sparsely populated part of the Brela Riviera. Much more relaxing and classy than the touristy Markaska down the coast. The food was good and staff ever helpful. However there could be some small improvements that would make this hotel a true 5/5 for me. The two larger, and nicer, bar areas were closed leaving a small outdoor bar area on the hotel doorsteps the only option with a rota of two, nightly performance acts that were nice the first time I saw them... The pool table was out of the way and I couldn't find any table tennis table. The tennis courts advertised were located at a different blue sun hotel 15 minutes walk away, which we didn't bother to try. There was also a golf simulator that had been left broken and disused. Overall a very nice and pleasant stay but frustratingly a few aspects of the hotel that have been neglected which could have made it so much more!
