“Nothing worse than a smoking room when you don't smoke!”
The only thing good about this hotel is the location to the Bloomsday Run. I did buy the "unpublished rate" room but did not think we would get stuck in a smoking room. Yuck...won't be back and I will never buy a hotel room without knowing first where I am going.
“Ok”
What we expected for what we paid, but requested a non-smoking room at booking and when we arrived were told only smoking rooms were available- disappointing to come home from the weekend with a bag full of clothes smelling like smoke.
“Won't be back here again”
Filthy exterior conditions on the walkways. Inebriated guests on both sides of our room kept us up all night. It appeared that both of those rooms were occupied by long term guests. They knew each other so yelled back and forth in front of our room at 2 in the morning. When we complained to the front desk nothing was done about it. We were there for two nights and the maid service did a very poor job with out room. Nothing was replenished and dirty cups and garbage were not taken out. We will not return.
“You will feel the need for a hot shower when you get home”
This was perhaps the second worst hotel / motel I have ever stayed in. After a stay like at a place like this, you will feel the need for a hot shower, and a hot wash for all your clothes, when you get home. The rooms smelled dank and musty, and you will too after staying here. Some in our party were so grossed out that they went and bought their own blankets and sheets since they did not want to touch the ones here. The furniture was old and stained. The safety lock on my door was broken off. The décor was 30 years old or more. The room was cold and there were not enough blankets on the bed. The neighborhood is unpleasant. On the plus side, the staff was pleasant, but the place is still a dive. This was NOT a place I would go back to or recommend until it goes through a thorough renovation.
“My stay in Downtown Spokane”
The room was listed as non-smoking, but it still stunk of cigarette smoke. THAT I did not appreciate.
“Great place to stay!”
If you want stay in a clean and comfortable stay, and don't need every extras and perks invented, this is it. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and good parking. Friendly and helpful personal.
“Scary Experience”
should have known from the condition of the front lobby that it was going to be a bad experience, but the desk receptionist was very friendly and professional, so I thought it would be better than it was. The room, building and parking lot were very badly maintained. It was cleaned as well as it could have been cleaned, but the decor was from the 70s or 80s and showed a lot of wear and tear. There were crackers and a cigarette butt in the heat vent of my non-smoking room. There was a layer of grunge on the carpet that made me afraid to go barefooted. It isn't housekeeping's fault. As I said, it was as clean as it could be for the age of the furniture, fixtures and carpet. I just was expecting a lot more from a national hotel chain.
“It might be better.”
This part of the city even it's a center was shabby as well as the hotel, although we din't expect much. In it's current condition it should be much cheaper. Hopefully the signs of renovation we saw aren't just the make-up.
“Days inn will not see me again!”
Upon check in the only place I could find to park, was next to a stack of garbage bags no less than 6 feet high and 10 feet in circumference. Totally disgusted! The carpet in the room had many large stains. The sheets smelled of cigarettes even though we were in non smoking rooms. The only thing that was close to average was the continental breakfast. Please choose a different hotel!
“Good hotel in Downtown area”
Comfortable stay. Easy in and out at check in/check out. Offered a decent continental breakfast. Always short on towels would be our only complaint!
