Ok hotel in the heart of Spokane

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: fan in the bathroom, remodel would be appropriate parking rate too much for staying at the hotel
Price wasn't too bad double queen for $110 a night. Restaurant is expensive and no child friendly menus, staff was helpful. There are several other restaurants in the area.

Consistently Excelletn

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Check in was pleasant and workout area was awesome.
Cons: They have a place to store luggage for those who want to check out but not leave the city. However, they have no where to store bicycles.
As one would expect from a Hilton Hotel, the Double Tree was excellent. Their workout area was particularly great.

Bumpy Check In

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Good location and clean room
Cons: some of the staff could improve on attitude; but we were there over St. Patty's Day holiday, so I'm sure they had a lot of guest challenges
Location: Close to restaurants, convention center and shopping; all within walking distance
The only real issue we had was checking in with a large SUV and Trailer. I would normally be understanding with the location being city center, if I didn't call ahead of time to 'register' my car/trailer combo; but upon checking in, the staff had no idea and made a point on how inconvenient it was to accommodate such a large setup. We dealt with this several times over the course of our two night stay when we had to leave and come back and re-park; it was like deja vu each time with the staff. That said, our room service was great and friendly and checking out was really straight forward, nice and accommodating.

Parking fees

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Close to restaurants and downtown
We were given a "complimentary" parking pass for the hotel garage I then proceeded to get daily charges to my credit card of varying amounts and when I finally talked to someone who was able to explain it I discovered they were all daily parking fees. I would like that information disclosed up front.

COFFEE:

Posted Mar 8, 2015
It was nice to have coffee service in the room, unfortunately the coffee was terrible and we ended up pouring it down the bathroom sink. Please consider upgrading to Starbucks.

Great location to INB Performing Arts Center

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Great location to events at INB Performing Arts Center and Riverfront Park. You can walk to downtown. The view of the Spokane River was very pretty from our room. Great service at the restuarants. The bathroom could use updating; toilet was stained, wallpaper corners turned up some cobwebs in the edges of main room. But everything else was clean and beds were comfortable. I would stay again.

Hotel overlooks the Spokane River

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: The view of the Spokane River.
Cons: The rooms need an update. They are tired and look drab.
Location: We walked in the beautiful city park next to the hotel, ate dinner at a nearby restaurant, and visited several of our favorite clubs.
We generally stay at a nearby historic hotel, but, because it was Valentine's Day weekend, we were unable to get our usual accommodations and decided to try the Doubletree. The rooms were booked weeks in advance and I asked that our rooms be located next to one another or at least in close proximity. I was assured that would happen. When we arrived on the afternoon of Valentine's Day, we had a trainee helping us who said one room would be on the 14th floor and the other on the 4th floor. I told her about my original conversation regarding rooms on the same floor. She said there were no rooms only those last two were available. I asked about breakfast. She said there was a Continental Breakfast available in the morning, and she went over the items we would find. When we went to the dining room for breakfast, we were told the cost is $14 per person! We were in shock. Then, on my final bill, there was a charge of $12 to park in their parking lot! Again, a shock! This hotel is not keeping up with the competition in Spokane when it comes to amenities. The beds were clean, but the bathroom was in dire need of an update. Even the towel rack was pulling badly out of the wall. I would not stay there again.
