good choice for staying at SpokanePosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Kids like the decoration and the swimming pool.
Cons: bathroom design is poor, noise level at some hour is high.
Location: downtown shop and malls.
Kids like the decoration and swimming pool very much. We stayed at the tower and got a very good rate through expedia.com. security keys do not work well in the elevator. We had to change the keys a few times. The room is similar to most 4 star hotel rooms, except for the bath room has a very poor design. there was no proper place for you to hang your used towels or you clothes in the bathroom, bath room experience is about 3 star. The Devenport tower hotel is good for staying at Spokane. the location is very convenient.

It was OK.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: I love the decor and the staff is really nice.
I love the Davenport Hotel, but found the Davenport Tower just isn't the same. The walls are thin and we could hear conversations in the room next to ours and their blow dryer, not to mention the many trains that pass by throughout the night. For the most part the room looked clean, until you looked at the drapery and I'll bet their was an inch of dust at the top.

Great hotel close to our daughter's apartmentPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the character of this hotel...fun and 'different' because of its age and historical value.
Cons: Our mattress itself wasn't the most comfortable but not something that would deter us from staying again.
Location: Many, many shops and restaurants within walking distance! As well as a beautiful park nearby.
Our time at the davenport was wonderful! We were able to walk from to and from our daughter's apartment which made downtown parking issues much simpler.

Excellent hotel but...Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: large rooms, comfy beds, beautiful bathroom
Cons: doorman to open main doors; somewhere to stop while checking in
Location: River Park, walking trails
The room and hotel were outstanding. The downside was that it was difficult to figure out where to stop to check in - no parking on the street for check in. As well, there was no doorman at the Tower, as there are in the main hotel - would have been useful when carting bags in and out.

Loved the history of the hotel.Posted Apr 9, 2014
We were so pleased with the hotel. The food in the dining room was okay but not completely as expected. Eating by the fire place was wonderfull and the staff very excellent. The valet service was prompt. We felt so welcomed.

Spokane StayPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Location, great staff, and bed is very comfortable.
Location: Great location.
The bed was so comfortable. Had great night sleep. The valet service was great. I was in and out all day long and they always had the car ready to go - didn't have to wait for it. The location is incredible - short walk to everything. The hotel also has a great gift shop and a flower shop.

A miserable splurgePosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Courteous staff.
Cons: See above. Shared doors do NOT work for those who do not need 2 rooms.
We decided to splurge on a night at the Davenport - a hotel I had driven by for years. We were booked into a "Delux" room - great expectations - and very pricey. When we got into the room, I noticed that there was a shared door. Sure enough, about 10 pm the crowd in the room behind the door started up, and they might as well have been in our room. The front desk called them, whereupon they left for another party venue. But at 2 am they all returned: doors slamming, loud raucous voices. And at 3 someone was getting very sick in the toilet - all completely audible. If the Davenport is going to rent "Delux" rooms to people, they should have the courtesy not to pick the rooms with shared doors and no sound-proofing. We got very little sleep and had an 8 hour drive the next day. Very disappointing. Won't go back. If you do go to the Davenport, make sure you don't rent a room with a shared door.

Great location, right downtown.Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: I liked the the restaurants in the hotel were good, the rooms were clean and spacious.
Cons: Small fridge in the room would be nice.
Location: Everything in the downtown area is close at hand. Shopping, restaurants, clubs.
We had gone on a ladies shopping trip, and it was very easy to get to many downtown shops. Also the parking was close and reasonable, with exit and re-entry tickets provided.
