We were impressed with the hotel staff even before we arrived. Needing to do some laundry and to receive advice on where we could do so in Spoleto, and being unable to find the answers to our questions on the internet, we contacted the staff. We were given excellent directions to a Laundromat. When we arrived we had been given a complementary upgrade by the hotel. We were warmly welcomed and received good service during our stay.

Hotel took a bit of finding but that was due to town layout. Hotel is in a quiet part of town. It was being used by a rather noisy set of volleyball teams, but that's what you sometimes get with a tourist-type hotel. Free garage parking which was a bonus.

"We had a great view . At night, though, the room was poorly lit and awkwardly arranged. Pleasant br"
We had great city- view room, but lighting was poor at night, with awkward furniture arrangement on two levels. (problems of being a former palace.) The breakfast room had a lovely view, and good homemade pastries. The man at the desk was helpful.

A lovely hotel with very attentive staff and comfortable public spaces (both indoors and out). Well located inside the old city walls and a short walk to the escalator to the center of town. Our room was large and comfortable, with a private outdoor garden sitting area and modern bathroom. Breakfast was ample, with good variety and quality, and friendly staff.

This Hotel is comfortable. The interior of the Hotel is ok, the exterior is a bit in need of an update me thinks. Room is adequate with mst facilities you would exepect. The only drawback are the rooms facing the square, the traffic noise can be a intrusive. Good Breakfast too. All staff very helpful and friendly.

We loved this town and this hotel. It is owned and run by a couple who live in the hotel, are perfect host and hostess. Driving in spoleto is very difficult and they helped us to get our car in and out of the town.

After spending time in places filled with tourists and extreme shopping, it was a relief to find this lovely Bed and Breakfast hidden away in the Umbrian hills. The grounds are spectacular and I loved hearing the rooster crowing in the morning. At night, the Umbrian sky was filled with stars and I watched a lone firefly flit among the bushes. It was so relaxing to sit pool side, enjoying an evening glass of wine or the morning breakfast. I arrived on a Sunday and was served dinner in the garden. What a faulous experience! I do not speak Italian so was uncertain as to what I would be getting to eat but the courses just appeared and included an appetizer, an antipasta plate, pasta and the perfect dessert. The service was as wonderful as the food. The owner of the hotel is a great host and made me feel at home. He was also very helpful in suggesting places that I could visit.

Spoleto is home to the midsummer Festival dei Due Mondi, one of Europe’s leading arts events. The Ponte delle Torri, a 14th-century aqueduct, and the massive papal castle are the most memorable of many outstanding monuments. Other must-see attractions are Fra Filippo Lippi’s Life of the Virgin frescoes in the Duomo, and the ancient church of Sant’Eufemia with its segregated gallery.
