“An excellent place to stay in Lincoln, IL”

The hotel was very well maintained. The rooms were nice and clean, the lobby was extremely cosy, the breakfast room was spic and span. In the neighborhood, at a walkable distance, there is a bowling place that can be a fun place to go with friends and family. Our overall experience was extremely positive.

“Newly remodeled.”

This hotel has been in Lincoln for some time but we had never stayed there. My mother lives in the Christian Village Retirement Community close by and we usually would stay at the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. Best Western recently acquired this location and completely remodeled it. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds and a microwave and small refrigerator in each room. It doesn't have a pool (which we wouldn't use) and this actually makes it a little more attractive to us. No kids running up and down the halls all night going back and forth to the pool. They also offer a free morning breakfast. We grabbed some coffee and fruit but can't comment on anything else served. It has an odd location next to a bowling alley and the entrance was a little hard to figure out. This hotel will be right next door to the new hospital that is currrently under construction. It is located on historic Route 66 so this may be a nice hotel for people to consider staying in if they are following that route.

“refreshing stay”

We chose this Hotel because of the price at first but soon discovered we got more than our money's worth. The hotel looks fairly new and the clerk was most helpful !!! The pool was clean and most enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and above and beyond. Eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, yogurt, bagles, rolls, cereals, teas, coffee, oatmeal, even pancakes yes make your own pancakes. I would return again and again!!!

“Very nice hotel”

Me and my husband were just looking for an overnight getaway with our grandson. I picked this hotel because of the reviews. We were not disappointed. My grandson loved the pool. The hotel is located in a nice area for restaurants and shopping. Overall, we had a great overnight stay.

“Great room for the price”

We have stayed at most of the hotels in Lincoln while visiting my mother and this is the one we keep coming back to. It has the largest rooms and a microwave and small refrigerator are included in all rooms. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had to wait to check in. There was no one at the front desk. Apparently, there was minimal staff on hand when we checked in the Saturday after Christmas. Our only complaint about the room is the heating/air conditioning unit is very noisy when running and if you have neighbors, you will hear them!

“Wonderful stay”

The beds were very comfortable and the room we had was quite large and nice. The hotel staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast was pretty good - small hot bar, waffle maker, bagels and assorted pastries, cereal, etc. I would definitely recommend to friends.

“Minor problems, but excellent overall.”

The check-in process was quick and easy, with both employees at the front desk very friendly and helpful. The room was large enough, smelled fresh, and was pleasing to the eye. It was very clean with one exception -- the coffee pot. Someone had emptied the packet of coffee into the pot and tried to brew it. The packet is self-contained and should not be opened, so it must have made quite a mess. The outside of the coffeemaker was clean, as was the carafe. However, the inside where the coffee packet should have been held moldy coffee grounds that had dried hard and crusty. It took me about 30 minutes to clean it up. The only other problem was with the keycards for the room. It would work once or twice and then fail. It was reprogrammed, but again failed after just a few uses. There were several other guests in line at the desk for the cards to be redone, so it was a hotel-wide problem, not just my room. The staff was doing their best to take care of everyone as fast as they could. This occurred on Memorial Day, so they were unable to locate a technician to come check their system. However, these were minor problems and I must say my overall experience was excellent. The friendly staff was efficient and professional, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable, the shower and sink had instant hot water, and I had two nights of excellent sleep. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family, and I will stay there again next time I visit that area.
