Had two small dogs and lady I talk on phone knew I had dogs but nothing was said about animal charge.$10 a animal when I got there.

We have frequent this hotel for last 20 years but this time around it was just terrible. The room that we had was extremely small, no closet space, no vanity space and a refrigerator that can fit nothing. When you shower the floor of the bathtub is moving under your feet not sure why. When we asked for a different room we were told that because we booked through a third party it was not possible. When I mentioned that we are loyalty members and perhaps we could get upgraded the manager told us that we would have to wait another 3 hours for another room because they were all booked up. I couldn’t help but notice how empty the hotel was for the two nights we were there. We were so fed up with the way we were treated but we had so many programs that we just didn’t have the time to just leave and find another hotel.

On behalf of our team I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations and that we were not able to resolve the issues during your stay. As you had arrived earlier than the check-in time of 4:00pm, we were glad to check you in early in the room type you had booked. When you expressed to us you were unhappy with the room, we were glad to change the room. Unfortunately the new room would not have been ready until the actual check-in time of 4. I can understand how this could be frustrating and the offer to have a new room at 4 was declined. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your feedback.

The staff was friendly, however the area was cramped for parking. You had absolutely no privacy. I felt like I should have invited my neighbor in to sit with us since it sounded like he was in the room with us already (he was only outside his room smoking or coughing in his room) the showed did not work well as the two different tubs (kinda creepy) water was fine. Not sure shower head was good. Bed was dirty at the bottom ruffle, not sure what was on it. Kinda creeped me out. By the second night my anxiety was so high, we just left and drove our 6 hours in the night just so I didn’t have to stay again.

Nothing like traveling out of town to find the motel wants to charge you a fee of 100 for your room. I will never stay at this motel again.

We were very excited to stay in this motel for it's retro features. However the beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. We only stayed one night out of two reserved because we needed to be able to get a good night's sleep. It's a cute place, just not ideal for sleeping in our experience.

It was unique in the fact that it sits on historic Rt. 66 and is close to downtown Springfield with its fun restaurants and history museum. It is also only a few blocks over from Chestnut Ave. which has an amazing row of unique homes from yesteryear and sidewalks one can walk for a few miles. So for those who want to walk and explore, it's also a great location - go towards Chestnut, not the other direction. The motel had incredibly accommodating staff and had everything we needed. No, it is not super modern and you will see the occasional construction worker staying there (because it is inexpensive) who likes to smoke weed every night on the patio. Still, no hostile or inappropriate behavior was seen, and if there was, I am sure the motel staff would have taken care of any issues. The friendly staff and the nice morning breakfast made it worth the stay!

We had a king room. Pretty small room and bathroom, but did the job for a one night stay. It’s retro looking, but clean and updated to look that way. Bed was comfortable. Did have to ask for extra pillows. Staff was super nice at every interaction. Only negative was the heater unit was loud when it kicked on each time over night.

Well kept, friendly staff. It really is so clean! Even the corners of the bathroom floor are pristine unlike some fancier places I’ve stayed. Very old school so the room is rather small, but had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed hearing about the history of this hotel. We had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits, fresh fruit, cereral, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee & tea! We would definitely stay again!

I enjoy traveling on Route 66, so staying here was a treat. The original tile in the bathroom was cool. The only downside was the food in the breakfast area was cold.

The rooms are small but exceptionally clean and comfortable. My group has stayed here two years in a row for an annual overnight trip. Rest assured we will be staying here again next year.

I love this motel! This was supposed to be a one-night stop on a cross-country journey. I had major car trouble and had to stay longer to get my car fixed. Tracy, at the front desk, was so very helpful. She proactively found the names and numbers of car repair shops while I was checking in. She wrote them down and gave me something to start with. I can't stress enough how helpful she was! All the employees I encountered were professional and friendly. I have pets with me, and I was thrilled that the pet room didn't look like a pet room. In most hotels, the pet rooms are so gross. It makes you wonder what they do with the ridiculous fees that they charge. My pet room was immaculate. I was so excited to have a nice room that didn't smell of air freshener to cover up pet smells. It is legitimately clean. The parking situation is ideal for easy unloading/loading from the room. The property is very charming. The grounds are very clean. The breakfast is better than what most hotels offer these days. It included hot items. There are nice blinds in the room and nice decor. You can tell that great care is put into the management of this hotel. Also, it has a lot of nice history. You can see some antique cars, and they have some history in the rooms. There is a great diner (George's) that is walking distance of the hotel. It has great food! I've never been to Springfield before. It seemed like a very friendly town. I will be coming back and will stay at this hotel!

Great Hotel
Excellent staff - older hotel but it is well kept. Pet friendly. Wished we have not been in roadside room - more green space and quieter in back.
