Not s good hotel. Mid range motelPosted Apr 24, 2015
On the first night fire alarm went off five times because people were smoking by the exit and when they came inside the alarm went off. The vending machine did not work unless you had a one dollar bill. The door did not have a tight fit in the frame. First floor room next to the parking lot curtain didn't fully close by itself. I could honestly go on

Woken up by alarms 5 times in one nightPosted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: location and price
Cons: clean it, update it, fix alarms
I've stayed at this hotel twice. The first time the alarm went off once in the middle of the night. The second stay, the alarm woke me up constantly, 5 times from 2AM to 5:30AM. The place is very run down. It is conveniently located, but a terrible place to stay. I couldn't sleep all night with the alarms. The staff is very nice and they refunded my money, but I was still a mess for work the next day.

Not worth the pricePosted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Although old, the hotel was pretty clean. The breakfast was comparable to other Best Westerns.
This is an older hotel, and looks worn. The room was on the smaller side for a Best Western, but was clean. The fire alarm went off at 12:30 in the morning and stayed on for over 30 minutes. I heard another customer complain that this is the second night in a row that the alarm had gone off. I was given a room on the first floor, directly across from the back of the lobby desk. This is where the employees come out to smoke. I was awakened at 3:30 and 5:30 by hotel employees on their smoke break, talking loudly on their cell phones and to each other. The hotel was relatively empty so I don't know why I was given this room. I wondered at the time if it was because I booked through Expedia.

Noisy inside and out!Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: ok the price was good and equivalent to the experience. Safety was great.
Cons: Breakfast... kitchen ladies could be nicer and cleaner and quit sharing so many pix on their cell phones. No more thin paper plates & bowls..obnoxious
Location: So many things to do... mall across the road... diners all around, hiking, walking
This hotel seemed to cater to students, groups at a time. One particular group, headed by Mr. Brown, was extremely noisy. They yelled, banged doors at all hours of the night. The food was boring although it was a complete hot / cold breakfast. They served old bread, old doughnuts, and hard bagels. In addition, same dry scrambled eggs, same spicy potatoes, and the thinnest bacon ever which was so tangled and messy, it was hard to serve one or two strips. The location was convenient except for the noisy road-side (which we got).

Great breakfast!Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: We liked the breakfast and convenient to the Metro.
Cons: Bed Size.
Location: Mikes Grill excellent place to eat.
We stayed here for two nights and the room was clean it was reasonably priced. They have a shuttle to take you to the Metro and will pick you up. The driver was very accommodating and told us exactly where to meet him and highlighted a map for us. They have a full hot breakfast and my son really enjoyed. The only thing is the beds were double and would have been nice to have queens, but I knew that when I booked it. We also had a 6 a.m. fire alarm, stuck my head in the hall and smelled something burnt. I think someone in a room burned something a in a microwave. The lobby breakfast was in a separate building.

Really an overpriced, low quality property. The room was tired and the breakfast area was a mess.

Good value close to DC MetroPosted Apr 12, 2015
Location: Hard Times Cafe and Cue is a restaurant/bar/pool/darts/shuffleboard. Very close, not walking distance though. Suitable for our teenagers.
The cost of this hotel and proximity to the DC Metro are the reasons we chose this place. We were not disappointed at all. The hotel is in very good condition and the staff was very nice and helpful as needed. Breakfast was adequate for us and our teenagers. They offer an on demand shuttle to the Metro station (from 8AM to 9:30PM) and we did not have to wait at all for this service. The driver was helpful in explaining how the fares worked and how to avoid traffic while leaving the area at departure. A great choice in order to save a few bucks for other fun stuff.
