Good stay for the price

The room was very clean. We were on the first floor by the breakfast room. We opted to not eat breakfast and did not have any issues with noise.

springfield missouri days inn rating
Posted Jan 30, 2012
Pros: We enjoyed swimming pool even though it was small.
Cons: The small breakfast room. Needed more healthy options
Location: It was okay.
Overall, I would give this hotel a 3 on your rating scale. It could use more space for areas. The breakfast room was too small to get around in the room. Swimming pool was okay, but hot tub was not working right.

Convenient location

Room was across hall from breakfast area. Very noisy, very early. Breakfast area ridiculously small. So many people you couldn't walk in there. Coffee was cold. No micro to warm it up in. Microwave in our room did not work and the refrigerator froze everything we put in it. Location good for Univ. of Mo events. Room was very clean. Bed & bedding was so-so. We moved to another lodging the next morning.

Pros: Checking out
Cons: Trying to get some sleep
Location: Okay
Upon check-in we were given a room at the top of the stairs with the ice machine, vending machine and stair door right outside our room. I immediately requested to change rooms knowing that I would not get a good nights sleep with the door & machine noises. The next room we were given had a door connecting to the room next door, which was paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room as if there wasn't even a door there. We awoke at 5am to the neighbors discussing their breakfast plans. I requested we be switched to a room with no connecting door and no machines outside of the room for our next night. The staff moved us and the second night wasn't as bad but we could still hear noise from the hallway, the doors are not very thick. The place is also fairly small.

Not that Great
Posted Jan 23, 2012
Pros: Clean room and hall ways.
Cons: Unable to use the internet.
Location: Located across from Bass Pro Shop, close to Parkview High School and Missouri State University.
Motel fairly new with new carpet in halls and rooms. Most of the parking is not close to motel. Small swiming pool and small eating area. Eating area not well organized, waffle mix low and lumpy, trash containers full, personnel in eating area out walking in the hall and let the eating get messy. Wi-Fi so slow that I was not able to download my e-mail because the connection kept timeing out. Only could get one bar through their Wi-Fi. Bathroom had no shelving for shaving kit. There was one 4 inch by 12 inch shelf next to the sink and no other shelving in the bathroom. Clean towels were hung away from the bath. Clothing hanging area was about 4 foot off the floor and about 4 foot wide. No place to hang long clothing. Ironing board stuff between cloths rack and wall. Room showed no sign of anyone with motel experience involved in room design.
