“Wiil stop there every time”

I was there on a very rainy thanksgiving weekend night. Staff was great, room was clean and food was great.Call ahead because this hotel sells out quickly. this was my second stay there.

“Clean, comfortable,friendly staff. Met all my needs.”

I recently stayed at the Drury Inn in Springfield for 2 weekend nights. Honestly, for the money, I thought it was great. The room was very clean, well appointed, and quite comfortable...especially the bed. It was the perfect firmness with really soft sheets and lots of good pillows....a must. I was quite concerned when I heard 46 grade school hockey players were checking in that afternoon...but was quite impressed that the staff strategically placed them on the lower floors by the pool on the other end of the hotel from where the couples and solo travelers were staying. I heard NOTHING...and I am a VERY particular and light sleeper. Another nice perk is that the hotel provides complimentary daily breakfast, afternoon popcorn and soda and simple appetizer type items starting at 5:30 in the evening, not to mention 3 beverages, including beer, wine or mixed drinks. The food is certainly not gourmet, however, it was a tasty and welcome extra...what hotel does that WITH beverage choice as well? If I had one "complaint"...which wasn't really that big of a deal to me, it is this...if you want a nice view from your hotel window, this is not the place for you. I was there for personal business and could have cared less. One last thing...a nicer and larger hot tub would really be the icing on an otherwise impressive cake. Their's is nothing to write home about. But overall...if I ever have plans in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.

I only spent time at the Adams Wildlife Sanctuary while staying at this hotel and would definitely recommend their programs.

“Very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.”

The woman at the front desk was pleasant, changed our rooms to allow us to share connecting rooms, and took the time to answer our questions about the area. The "happy hour" and breakfast bars were well attended by the staff. We were a group of 5 women visiting the area and was extremely pleased with the hotel.

Area recommendations

We came to visit the Lincoln Museumand Library and other related sites. The staff at the Museum were very entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the "Old Capital" by one ot the staff who went out of his way to show us around and share interesting facts. New Salem Lincoln's village was pleasant to walk around. We also managed to shop a little.

“Good Experience”

As I have come to expect from Drury hotels, this was a positive experience! Super clean. LOVE the breakfast and kickback options~ always excellent. Only downside to this trip was the air conditioner was broken in the pool area so it was too hot and humid to swim. (New A/C on order)

Cheddars restaurant near the Drury was a good place to eat.

Family-friendly activities

Be sure to visit the Lincoln Museum, fabulous. Allow enough time. We got there at 2:00 and it closed at 5:00 and we didn't have time to see everything.
