Bed too firm for my ideal

Cons: Security cameras - we had our motorcycle stolen from a hotel in another state 2 years ago. When away from home, we always worry.
Location: Location close to Bob Evans restaurant
Easy check in and check out process. It would be nice to be able to book a room specifically accessible to exit and with view of vehicle.

I was in Springfield for a training and was at a terrible hotel. My husband had me check out and go to the Garden Hilton in Springfield. They got me right to my room and I was very satisfied!

A non-second choice for visiting Springfield

Pros: Almost everything except the swimming pool, the temperature's control seemed have a problem during our stay
Cons: All seems fine.
Location: Locate southeast to the town, by the highway, very convenient commute. Only takes 10 minutes or so to go to Lincoln's home site.
First of all, I always choose Hilton Garden Inn as it's now my preference, except there's no such a hotel. Second, I'd like to say, this particular Hilton Garden Inn is a non-second choice if you plan to visit Springfield to see Lincoln or do something else. It only takes 10 minutes to commute to downtown area, and it's location is close by a shopping center, although it's almost closed, while there still some restaurants open. The staff was great, hall was great, room was great including the bathroom. Especially for the King beds, which are adjustable for softness. Besides, the price of this hotel is unbeaten. If you come to visit Springfield and wanna stay here for one or two days, you should choose this one.

hotel near everything

I got to the hotel around 3:45p.m. walked in to check in the kid at the counter said my room wasn't ready in it was a whirlpool room n down graded me n my husband to a handy cap room. the bed was hard the wind blew through the window. the shower had little to known water pressure. over all we will choose another hotel.

HGI Springfield

I stayed here when in town for a conference a few miles away. The conference hotel, a Hilton, was sold out This is updated HGI and I like their clean, contemporary style and the personable staff, but they seem to have skipped updating their heating and cooling system. It was one of those in-room units under the window and it was loud and woke me up repeatedly. The bed sheets were also kind of weird, lightweight and slippery, they felt very synthetic.

Nice hotel close to the expressway.

Cons: Pool size.
Close to the expressway and the large Crowne Plaza, where I attended a conference. Updated lobby, rooms, and overall décor. There was an indoor pool, but it was as small as I've ever seen. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff was ok. Food was good but breakfast was overpriced. Room was nice but mattresses weren't all that comfortable

simple, clean, and comfy

The internet service was pretty bad, which made mapquest difficult to access for directions to local attractions. The business center inside was not much help. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable. The in room Keurig was a nice surprise. The pool was rather small, but adequate. We were unhappy to discover that there was no continental breakfast. They were charging $10. Thankfully there was a Panera across the street.

Pros: Clean, modern hotel decor. Awesome lobby with very nice restaurant.
