Pleasant hotel in a good locationPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: It would be nice to have local newspapers available at breakfast.
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. Each time I have been exceptionally pleased with the quality of the rooms, the staff, and the amenities. While I have always worked through the afternoon dinner/reception I have been impressed with the quality and consistency of the breakfast. I great way to start my day allowing me to skip lunch to maximize my time throughout the day. You can always find cheaper but I think you will be hard-pressed to find better value in the DC area.

Room Spacious & CleanPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Clean and nice rooms. The lobby & bar area had many televisions and was clean.Coffee and Tea area was available 24 hours. The elevators were clean,
Cons: The Buffet staff needs to increase. There isn't much to be improved, the hotel had all the requirements I needed.I can see frustration in people.
Location: There's a Springfield Plaza near by with a Kmart and many other stores to shop. You can walk around the shopping area. .
Room Suite was clean and comfortable for 5 people. The refrigerator, microwave, wet bar and stove were quite helpful. Two tvs in the room were great. The price of the hotel was reasonable and located next to Springfield Plaza where many stores were. The only issue I have with this hotel was,the buffet breakfast was very under staffed. There was only 1 woman to clean the tables and restock the food and drink area. The hotel had many people staying there and this woman was trying very hard to do it all by herself.A woman and I were helping her restock the yogurts and coffee/creamer area. This hotel was nice, but please treat your workers better

Family friendly!Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Set up of the suite, pool, free breakfast, staff
Location: Easy to get to DC, plenty of stores nearby
This was a great hotel for us taking our kids to Washington for the first time. It was convenient to the Metro and near stores. The room was wonderful and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was a great help too, and very nice.

Annoying policyPosted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: see above
Location: easy to drive to
I found it annoying that they charged my credit card and additional $40. When I checked out I asked for the refund to my credit card and they told me that it would take a minimum of 30 days before the refund was issued. I had no additional charges which they confirmed but they would not process the refund! Very annoying.

Loved this place!Posted Aug 18, 2014
We had a great experience at this hotel and would recommend it to everyone. Our room was beautiful and the bed very comfy. The breakfast was good also. The hotel has a shuttle to take you to the metro station which we took advantage of. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice family friendly hotel!Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Convenience, all rooms are totally equipped with kitchen, meals included.
We loved our stay at this hotel. It is perfect for families! While it's not close to DC attractions, they offer a very convenient ride to Metro station every half hour. All staff nice and helpful. Mike was wonderful! We would definitely comeback.

Great For FamilyPosted Aug 8, 2014
I love the free dinner and wine Monday through Thursday. It is a good value if you have a family to feed. The hotel room is very clean and new. Breakfast is very good. Very family friendly with a kitchenette. Drive to DC is about half hour to one hour depending on traffic if you don't want to take hotel shuttle to the metro. I would definitely stay there again.

Great StayPosted Jul 31, 2014
Besides the front desk clerk that works in the late morning being rude; lacks customer service, the hotel is fantastic. You'd definitely love this place. Very clean and friendly cleaning crew staff.

Excellent hotel!Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Everything. Staff, rooms comfortable and very clean. Breakfast and dinner, shuttle to and from train station, close to D.C. Comfy beds!
Cons: It would be nice to have train info at hotel explaining the process to people who have never been there. It was a little tricky at first.
Location: Close to D.C. Easy access to train station. Across street from a mini mall with a grocery store and retail stores and lots of restaurant options.
We stayed here for five nights during our trip to D.C. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent, very clean, comfortable and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and it was an added bonus to have a full size fridge and a little kitchen. The hot breakfast buffet had many selections and was great tasting. It was nice to be able for my family to eat and head out to D.C for the day. Very convenient to have free shuttle to and from train station. Easy to drive to station as we'll and takes 10 minutes. Not to far from D.C. Plus Monday -Thursday they have a free buffet dinner and social. My two sons (ages 8 & 10) thought this was the coolest hotel ever! If you are looking for an excellent hotel for your trip to VA, book this one! You won't be disappointed!
