“there's better out there”
Outdated, next to a cabaret not even 10ft away, rundown,
“Louis Prawitz”
The hotel was filthy, the staff unfriendly and extremely unhelpful and it was next to a strip joint.
“Convenient and Good Value”
Close to Bass Pro and good restaurants. Friendly people and the pool was nice and clean. Went to Springfield for a wedding and this was a good location. The only gripe I had was the front entrance area was a little dirty.
“Two Lamplighters on Glenstone watch the address when booking”
A strip club is located in the same parking lot, the hotel lobby was very dirty. There are two Lamplighter locations on Glenstone Avenue stay at the one located at 2820 N Glenstone Avenue, this is the clean one and safer location.
“Nice value hotel”
This was my first time at the Lanplighter and I was impressed. I would definitely stay here again.
“Gone Downhill”
It is right next to a gaudy bright pink strip joint. My room overlooked a neon sign that said "GIRLS". The hotel might have started out as a great place to stay and it still looks good outside, but it has not been maintained well and it shows. The only redeeming factor of it is its location, but I think the price was too high for a cheap-looking place.
“Great place to sleep! Comfy bed! Close to everything!”
The only thing we didnt like and it may sound silly, was the toliet seat! It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. We didnt spend a crazy amount of time resting there, but long enough! Comfy bed made up for it!
“Just another hotel”
The Breakfast was horrible. There was nothing to choose from. They did not keep refilling it when it was out. We had to ask for everything..milk...creamer. The location was good...close to shopping.
“Very bad, cockroach in the bed, not clean”
We planned to stay three nights, but on the first night my wife woke up in the middle of the night because she thought she felt something crawling on her arm. She swatted at it, and when we got out of bed in the morning we found a huge, almost dead cockroach on the nightstand. I put it in a plastic bag and took it to the front desk. The lady at the front desk looked at it and said it was just a water bug and they come in when it rains. Obviously we checked out immediately, then called Expedia and they refunded our money for the remaining two nights. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
