Good alternative to chain motels

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: B&B vibe, good location, feels safe; quiet, clean, pretty, quaint. Great handicapped access to ground floor from ample parking. Spacious lot, trees.
Cons: It was chilly. Steep stairs to upper levels, very low banister; ask for a 1st-floor room if this will hinder you. A welcome pamphlet would be helpful.
Location: Right across the road from Baystate med center; near highway, Liberty Heights, and downtown Springfield in nice pretty upscale neighborhood.
Service is very informal, yet everything you need is provided. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated; separate sitting area, many TV channels, clean, well-appointed bathroom, comfortable bed. During my stay, the inn was very quiet. Breakfast is B&B style seating, hotplate buffet with innkeeper's own tasty recipes. No fridge or microwave or coffeemaker in room, but small fridge in hallway on each level.

New Home, Friends Away from Home

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Great deep soaking tub to ease travel pains, comfortable bed, quiet, cozy, clean!, attention to details and the most caring owner!!
Location: Northampton is the cutest town and everyone was so nice! Butterfly Education center north of Smith College, Smith College Art museum, Eric Carle museu
Unusual care and communication prior to arrival to ensure comfort and needs met. Inn is warm and welcoming and encourages guests to feel at home. Very comfortable bed and giant room with every need considered. Breakfast was a delight with healthy farm fresh foods and nutrition in mind-Inn reflects a caring staff, green eco friendly products and reminders that reflect an evolved philosophy. Bonus: Breakfast was enhanced by the family style dinning table and the best conversation I've ever enjoyed while traveling. The other guests, owner and I sat well past the delicious meal was over and enjoyed a rich coversation! I was delighted by the intelligent, progressive and enlightened discussion! I laft feeling refreashed and envigorated both in body and mind! I will definitely return when in the area! It's like a found a family as well as a comfortable home away from home!

Außergewöhnliches B&B

Posted Oct 4, 2014

Great when on hospital business

Posted Aug 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
I arrived late but the inn keeper came to meet me right away. She was very helpful in finding a place to meet my dietary needs. She showed me where all the breakfast fixings were since I had to leave prior to breakfast time. The room was beautifully done, quite ornate. There was a mixup on the website and the room I had didn't have a bath tub as listed; I'm sure she would have switched my room if I had complained but because I knew I wouldn't have time for more than a quick shower I didn't bother. The discounted hotels.com rate was also perfect for my pockets. There is parking in the back. It is literally right across the street from Baystate. If I end up working at the hospital I will certainly use this b&b again while I am looking for an apartment. She is pet-friendly, which is good for me, but may not be for someone with animal allergies. Also her rooms are so ornately decorated that they might not be very child-friendly- mine would almost certainly destroy something, being the ridiculously energetic creatures that they are.

Quiet, pleasant place to stay.

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Quiet, good breakfast, especially the chocolate pancakes. Located near the major highays.
Location: We spent a morning at the Eric Carle Museum near Amherst. It was fantastic. We spent another day at Emily Dickenson's Home, also in Amherst
We selected Noami's for location and price. It is about 30 minutes from Northampton and Amherst and reasonably priced.

The home is well kept with modern conveniences. The bed was high as well as the bathroom mirror do for short people like me a step stool would be helpful. Breakfast was good too.

Beautiful home with big rooms

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Huge Rooms
Location: The hospital is directly across the road.
Stayed here as a stop on a road trip. Great big rooms and bathrooms with comfy beds. You need to have a car if you want to leave the area as the downtown restaurants are a little far to walk to. Breakfast was good. Very laid back and welcoming atmosphere.

The best of the best

We were in town for my sons graduation from residency at Bay State. This B&B is right across the street from the hospital. The owner was so gracious and accomodating. The rooms were massive and so comfortable. I wish we would have had more days there. The breakfast was good. My grown son loved the "birthday" pancakes. I very much recommend this as a top notch B&B.
