Not so good

Posted Apr 4, 2015
The hotel is old, the room was falling apart, the continental breakfast was oj, coffee, cereal, bagels and muffins, the beach access is 10mins away, carpet in room filthy but pool was clean and beautiful.

Nice Surprise by quality vs reasonable cost

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Location: close to everything in St Augustine
expected lower quality & comfort due to the very reasonable cost. Great bed - getting a good nights sleep is paramount when you have active days.

Will stay here again

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The size of the room. The floors were nice.
Cons: The counters for the coffee area should be larger. You should not rely on the complimentary breakfast for breakfast. Larger coffee cups.
This hotel is right across from the Oasis and beach entrance--so location is great if you are planning on beach days. The hotel room was larger than expected. I will stay here again.

Not steps from the beach.

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: The location was too shocking to allow for reasonable assessment of anything else.
Cons: Either locate it at the beach, as the description suggests or do NOT imply it is "steps to the beach."
Location: Shopping strip location. Commercial area. Fine if you need toothpaste.
I expected the facility to be on the beach, or across the street. The address A1A is identical bot for the commercial strip where this was located and the beach boulevard, where the BEACH is located. I felt the facility was misleading in its description.

Needs work.

Cons: Carpets/ AC/ Breakfast
Location: 15 mins from Old Historic St. Augustine.
Our room needed new carpet or something the joint stunk, really bad and AC couldn't keep room cold in spring. I can't imagine summer time. Breakfast is small and def.continental. We checked in with 5 people and didn't have enough towels. Went to desk at 1045pm to get one and office was locked up, No Vacancy on the door. Sheets were clean bathroom too, but won't stay here again. Rooms that stink are not 4 out of 5 on my list. Have been to a lot of hotels this was second to last on list don't ever book again. Update your rooms guys, new Carpets and AC.

Pros: It was clean staff friendly
Cons: Move closer to beach
Location: it was acceptable
Traffic made it rough to go toward the direction you wanted to go. Turn around after turn around.

A pleasant stay

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Everything you need for a restful , pleasant stay...if you're expecting concierge service and a spa treatment, then obviously this isn't the right hotel. However, if you're a sensible traveler who wants a good value on a room that's conveniently located , clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful area, then look no further !
