Location location

Posted Apr 13, 2015
It's nice that it's close to St. George and the shops but it's also across from the a fair, is loud. At night the drunks and partiers come out so it's loud at night while your trying to sleep. There is a price to being too close to the fun.

High on convenience, low on comfort!

Posted Apr 7, 2015
If you plan on doing some shopping in old town this location is perfect but I would recommend a 1 or 2 day stay at the most due to the size of the rooms and comfort of the beds. The beds are extremely hard and there isn't room to walk around them and I almost fell trying to maneuver my way in and out of the shower due to the very small bathroom.. Staff were pleasant and the hot breakfast was nice but 3 days was too long for those beds.

Good location but small rooms. Rooms were partially refurbished but still felt dated.

Spanish Quarters Best Western in St. Augustine

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: The staff was cheerful and helpful beyond expectation.
Cons: Improve February to March weather!!
Location: Mainland recreation is handy to Old Town, historic museums that were hotels, trolley and walking opportunities.
This hotel is in a convenient location to reach amusements, trolley, and restaurants. The location is quiet. Small rooms are nicely decorated and maintained. Staff was friendly.

Good Standards.

Pros: See above
Cons: Better pastries. Hotter pool...it was freezing!
Location: Excellent location.
Excellent location. Walking distance of everywhere. Room was good, clean and comfy beds. Staff very pleasant. Breakfast was fine, wrapped pastries were tasteless but hot breakfast was very good....also Best Western should be ashamed having individually wrapped cellophane apples...especially when they supposedly pride themselves on the eco friendly credentials ....if see notes re towels.... Overall very pleased..especially the sound proofing...could not hear a peep from our neighbours!

Great Location

Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Really close to transportation and can walk to historic downtown.
Cons: Renovation to the bathrooms would improve the property.
Location: There is a high pressure time share pitch right next door marked as a visitor center. Go to the real visitor center across the street.
Room was nice but very small and crowded. Someone put a lot of work in to this but you can tell it is an older hotel that has been painted over rather than actually renovated.

Convenient location for downtown St. Augustine.

The staff indicated that the building was more than 50 years old, rooms including the breakfast room were on the small side, and parking space is very tight. BUT the facility is well maintained and all the staff and their services --including a generous breakfast and making dinner reservations -- were first class. All in all, this (our second visit) was both pleasant and good value..

Location, Location, Location...

This hotel is in a great location for exploring the historic district on foot. There is nothing spectacular about the room...pretty average for the price in this location. There was a definite smell upon entering the room- a mix of dampness and household cleaner, but that's not unusual for anyplace in Florida close to the water. The front desk lady could have been a little more professional and friendly, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Great hotel for family & walking distance to fort.

Hotel staff were great. Allowed us to park whole day, even after checkout. (Other parking lots charge $10, hotel charge $5 for parking.)
