It was a gorgeous hotel, centrally located

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Great hotel, centrally located to downtown historic at augustine. There are some things I would suggest the hotel look into to make the stay more pleasurable. 1. Create a Casa Monica regency club where you serve guests continental breakfast and snacks available throughout their stay. 2. A fridge in each room. We had amazing foods in the city and the were unable to bring any back for a late night snack

Epicenter of Saint Augustine

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: The hotel and staff were perfect. Aside from that, I feel the proximity of so many things in every direction made the trip truly enjoyable.
Cons: I prefer fluffy comforters and they had bead spreads. Yes, that is my only issue. Certainly one personal in nature but it's the only one I have.
Location: The Lightner Museum, a medical museum, an old military fort, an alligator park with zip lining, the beach, shopping and much much more.
The hotel is the most beautiful in the entire area. It is walking distance from many attractions and museums. There are small golf cart type trains that run every 20 minutes to all points of interest. The hotel staff does everything they can to make you feel welcome and assist you whenever needed. The gym is clean and up to date. The pool is on a private deck and has someone to serve you drinks and food. The lobby has a vibrant bar with live music that is not overbearing at all. You are able to enjoy both your conversation and the music. The restaurant has high quality food and beverage presentations. The room was spacious and well appointed. A Starbucks just off the lobby was an added bonus and I would like to mention the employees there were genuinely kind and engaging. After visiting most of the area including the beaches, I was positive that I had made the right choice for hotel. Upscale in nature and presentation yet warm and relaxed with a friendly island type pace.

Beautiful, historical, and close to EVERYTHING

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Location: We traveled as a family of 4, and were so impressed by the amount of history and fun in St. Augustine. Never a dull moment!!!!
We stayed 4 days and 3 nights at Casa Monica, and I would do it all over again! The hotel staff was kind, helpful and professional. The facilities were clean and beautiful. We could park our car and walk everywhere we wanted to go (with the exception of the beach, which was a 10 minute drive away). Can't wait to stay here again!!!!

Wonderful hotel in an excellent setting.

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Even though this is an older hotel, the recent renovations have maintained it's charming character.
The perfect place to stay in historic St. Augustine if you are seeking a higher-end experience.

Love St. Augustine and this hotel

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Maybe blend decor just a bit. Pretty harshly Spanish.
Location: St. George St for shopping. Fort is fascinating.
Great hotel. Be prepared for classic Spanish architecture and decor. Wonderful location, staff did a fantastic job for our 10th Wedding Anniversary Don't miss the art galleries in the hotel.

Casa Monica was THE BEST!

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Ambience, location, staff
Cons: A minor detail, but the sink didn't drain well.
Location: Everything is nearby! Shopping, restaurants, the water, museums, churches - everything - yet it's quiet and feels even secluded.
My husband went to Casa Monica for a short get away and had a great time. It's a historic hotel with all the modern amenities. The location is great, the staff is helpful and polite, the room was beautiful - hope to return soon!

Premium King room/price -- aka dungeon

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Centrally located to old St Augustine
Cons: Have an actual window in the room.
Staff was very friendly and courteous. The window in the room was at floor level and very small -- zero view, very dark. Although the room was nicely furnished, felt small and enclosed like a dungeon cell. Did not want to spend any time in the room -- except to sleep. Asked the front desk staff if there are other rooms with real windows -- they said yes, better luck next time. I would not recommend the hotel and at the price point for the room it is absurd.

Perfect location, beautiful hotel

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: nearly everything. impressive hotel
Cons: as is typical of most hotels, water pressure in the shower is very disappointing.
Location: Buy the trolley and take the 1.5 hour tour as soon as you get there. It will help you prioritize your time as there is too much to see.
The architecture is stunning. the rooms immaculate, the staff helpful and courteous and the location is terrific for walking or catching the trolley to most sites in the town.
