Nice for just a night or two....

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Beds were comfy, room was clean, people were nice.
Cons: Insulated ice buckets, more toiletries.
Location: EVERYTHING to do is near-by. The one sight-seeing train leaves from there as well. Super convenient! GREAT location!
I am usually the type of person who requires high-end accommodations, but we just wanted a nice place to spend one night while we were in Saint Augustine, FL. The hotel room was small, just basics, but it was clean. Yes, it was an older hotel, but we didn't have to worry about bed bugs or unclean bathroom conditions. Quite the contrary, the room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and it smelled fresh and clean (even with it being a smoking room). The Denny's that was available 24-hours on-site was delicious. The staff was friendly and our waitress was amazing! She was such a cute girl! I don't remember her name, but she had long, brown hair, was small of stature, and had an amazing smile. BEST service in a Denny's EVER! The only thing that was lacking was the tiny soaps and one bottle of shampoo that was available in the room. You'd need to bring your own or get more from the front desk. Also, the ice buckets are not insulated. Other than that, I would stay here again for a night or two, while visiting the old city!

don't come here super gross

the price of the hotel was great, however there was hairs everywhere in the bed, in the bathroom, and on all the towels. There was a hole in the door, a tube TV, heater did not work properly, and it was just overall disgusting.

Nothing horrendous but could've been better

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Close to downtown and restaurants
Cons: Cleanliness (bathroom, shower and carpet)
Location: The location is very close to downtown st. Augustine, where there is plenty of attraction. Park your car and stroll down historic st.George street.
Conveniently close to downtown and local restaurants. For the price we paid (the deal we got) we weren't necessarily disappointed. However, our room could have been cleaner. But much of the uncleanliness (at least the appearance) I believe was due to it being a little run down and outdated...shower, toilet, etc. Had to hold toilet lever down until flushed, trash bag was missing from garbage can, the carpet looked and felt dirty. Nothing horrendous, but could've been better. It was not impressive, but for a good deal and a safe place to sleep I would recommend to a friend.

Dirty, bugs, uncomfortable

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Location: Location is ok...about a 15 minute walk to downtown St. Augustine.
Stayed two nights and wished we had booked elsewhere. The room smelled and was very dirty. Multiple types of bugs found throughout the room, including tons of ants found on the vanity and in the sink as well as small black bugs that look like mini-roaches. The vanity also had hair clippings from someone shaving. It would have been worth it to pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

The room is alright for a 1 night stay. It's in close proximity of touristy-related attractions. The only downside is that the room didn't smell fresh.
