Nice enoughPosted Feb 23, 2014
The worst problem was noisy doors. People coming and going all night made for noisy slamming doors. Otherwise, a good place to stay.

One night stayPosted Jan 15, 2014
Made a one night reservation at the hotel as a rest stop on a trip from Miami to North Carolina. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was typical for a Farfield Inn. Breakfast was surprisingly varied and appetizing. The value for this hotel is very good for the rate you pay. I would recommend it.

Great Hotel to stay with the family.Posted Jan 11, 2014
Pros: We like it, because is really closer to all attractions of St. Augustine.
Our experience in Fairfield Hotel was great, we received excellent service, and the rooms were clean, and comfortable.

All the staff was pleasant, helpful, and professional. The grounds were well kept. The room was better than expected. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We would highly recommend this hotel to others.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, clean place.Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Customer service. Every single employee was polite and helpful, always greeting us with a smile, making us feel welcomed.
Cons: Re- arrange breakfast room to allow more seating (got real crowded at times, not enough seats and tables). That's why I rated it a 4 for facilities.
Location: Minutes from Downtown St. Augustine (which was a plus for us: close to the attractions, but quiet at night). Outlet malls, restaurants and gas station
Our family of 4 stayed there from Dec 25th through the 29th. I asked for a room away from the elevators and noisy areas. Zach at the front desk honored my request and placed us in an fairly isolated corner on the top floor. Even though the hotel was very busy with holiday travelers, I had no trouble with noises coming from the hall. That made all the difference, and I could sleep undisturbed by other guests at night or by the housekeeping crew in the morning. The staff was remarkably courteous, and the continental breakfast was very good. By the way, in all my previous experiences in hotels with continental breakfast the staff would typically stop replenishing a few minutes before closing, and quickly collect everything the minute the clock hit the mark to close. I saw the opposite here. Not only they were helpful, but they actually left a lot of food available for a long, long time after they were supposed to be closed. They did not rush the guests. Regarding the mattress, it was Ok, but a bit on the soft side, so some people who like firmer mattresses may not be too happy. Overall, it was much more pleasant then I expected, knowing it was not a 5 star hotel. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Close to the highway, but also near old town. REALLY comfortable bed, great breakfast. Exactly what we needed for a simple overnight.
