My worst Hampton Inn experience ever. Room was very tired looking. Last guest's used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. Little hot water. Tub faucet falling off wall.

Overall, the hotel is great. I did find half of a pill, looks like an aspirin tablet, on the floor. Not a good thing when bringing two dogs with you. Also did not like that Expedia did not tell me about the $50 pet fee in advance. The deserted property (business) next door seemed like a semi-unsafe lot. Looks like the ditch and wooded area just around it was a haven for the homeless. Makes you wonder if anyone was going to jump out at you. But inside the hotel, the front desk staff, the morning breakfast, the quietness, all were great. Seemed like most of the employees did not understand English, but we made due. Other visitors were a good group of people too.

Just a place to rest our heads after a long day of driving. Staff was great and we had no issues. The place has lots of maintenance issues that need addressed. The toilet in our room ran all night. The flapper valve needed to be replaced.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
Our biggest mistake was not reading the reviews first. This hotel is old and not taken care of. Our room smelled so heavily of moisture and mold it was sickening. It also had not been cleaned. Hair and half empty water bottles left. Shame on Hampton Inn for allowing people to pay for this!!!

We enjoyed out stay. The staff was friendly and informative, and very professional and prompt. The breakfast and coffee was superb. The only issue I had was the pet fee which was not listed on the website nor Expedia, yet it says the hotel is pet friendly I was charged $40 per night for my 2 little dogs. The price of the hotel per night would have been well able to cover any pet fee, plus they put a $50 hold on my credit card to cover incidentals. Geez. That was excessive. I did tell the front desk that had I known about the pet fee I would have picked another hotel, but at that moment in time when I arrived I was not prepared to look for another hotel. Maybe they know that up front, who knows.

where should i begin?
staff at reception was outstanding. however, the hotel's room key machine was out of order (lightening strike), so staff had to walk each guest to his or her room to open the room door for the guest, so of course there was a wait.... then the fire alarm went off for a while (luckily it was a false alarm triggered by...out of order ac unit?)..... then the toilet in our room backed up, fortunately another guest helped us fixing that.... so.....overall, it was dramatic but staff was doing her best and she deserved a bonus

This hotel has seen better days. We picked it solely for its location as a pit stop on a road trip, but there must be better places to stay in the area. The whole hotel is hot and humid with a damp smell. After getting off of the elevator on my floor it was even hotter, more humid, and the damp smell was worse. The carpets in the halls were dirty and stained. My room… I put the A/C all the way down to the coldest setting with the system on “high” and the room never got cold. The sink in my room didn’t have hot water so I had to shave with cold water (fun). Then in the shower it was the complete opposite experience where no matter what you turned the dial to boiling hot water came out. My only option was to set it so low that there was basically no pressure and then slightly less molten hot water came out. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating, giving us two rooms with a connecting door. Pool was great! Breakfast is open until 10:00a.m. which allowed us to sleep in!
