Clean, quiet hotel, very convenient to the beach

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: I liked how close it was to the beach. I loved that it is a pet friendly hotel with excellent rooms for pets. I also liked that the hotel is quiet.
Cons: Wifi access & internet connections are not good at all in the rooms. A fan in the bathrooms for ventilation would make the bathroom better.
Location: The location is excellent, being right on the beach. Shopping & restaurants are all nearby.
Our experience was pleasant. Parking was free & close to our room. Our room was a good size, everything was in good working condition & clean. The hotel staff was friendly. The hotel noise level was quiet, especially considering the time of year & the fact that we stayed on the pet friendly floor. It was also excellent that our dogs could stay with us & enjoy the beach with us, which is not allowed at many hotels or condos in the area. The pool was clean & a good size. My kids enjoyed the pool. The chair/umbrella & boogie board rentals at the location are convenient & reasonably priced, also. The only real cons were poor wifi & internet connections in the room & lack of ventilation in the bathroom. But our family & two dogs were still very much able to enjoy our vacation. I would recommend this hotel for families, especially those that would like to travel with their beloved pets.

good place to stay right on the beach

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: right by the beach
Cons: food schedule and quality in the pool shack
Location: mini golf two blocks away, the pier about a 10 min walk, many restaurants and bars nearby including salt life, St. Augustine downtown 10 min drive
powder white sand beach right behind the hotel and a great pool. plenty of parking, easy to check in and out. helpful staff. if you get the sight seeing trolley tickets the shuttle will pick you up right from the hotel or saint Augustine downtown is an easy 10 minute drive away (people drive at 25 mph). only problem was the pool shack has a food available schedule until 8 p.m. but they close arbitrarily after 7 so you can't really count on having something to eat there. otherwise, great place good breakfast available for purchase in the morning and; although, I did not bring mine dogs of any size are welcome.

Great location for beach access

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Proximity to the beach
Cons: No ice in vending machine the whole stay, we were on first floor and had to go to third for ice
Location: Close to historical st Augustine and if you do the trolley tour they will pick you up at the front entrance of resort
Very nice stay...pristine beach, one of the nicest I've been to in Florida

Miss represented the room on line.

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Being close to the beach...
Cons: They need to fix the wiring and update the hotel.
The room shows a microwave and refrigerator but only half the rooms had them. When I asked why there was not microwave or fridge, I was told only half the hotel was wired for them. The shower had very little water pressure.

The front office staff was great. Maintenance (Jeremiah) was very sweet, kind, and helpful. The hotel is super pet friendly, which was perfect for my stay as it is difficult to find that.

Just a place to sleep

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: The staff was very nice and the proximity to the beach was great.
Cons: They could fix the bathroom and remove the TV stand that no longer has a TV in it. the ceiling in the bathroom should be replaced
Location: There were plenty of places to eat. The walk to the beach was great. There were plenty of gas stations, restaurants, and malls nearby.
This hotel is antiquated. The hotel is advertised as ocean front, but only 16 rooms have an actual ocean view. The rooms are old and the equipment (shower, TV, door to balcony) all had issues. Even the sheets had stains. I had to pull them off the bed each day. The shower head and faucet ran at the same time and you could not adjust the shower head (it was brutal taking a shower..it was like a fire hose). The balcony door would not open without force and the TV would go out because someone overloaded the circuit. Also, walking on the ground floor outside you were constantly getting wet by the dripping water from upstairs on the second floor which I assume was the drain from the AC units.
