“Very nice and pleasant hotel and area :)”

I went for a weekend with my boyfriend. We really like the place! The harbor is very beautiful and romantic. The hotel is awesome. Very clean and with lots of space in the room. The staff are super helpful. There is a restaurant close to the hotel that is really good, very nice seafood and looking over the harbor. It is close to downtown part of St. Augustine and close to the beach (you need a car for both of them, but it will be less than 10min to get to both places). In the harbor, there is not much to do, except for the restaurant and the view, but it is worthy it. The breakfast is served in a little place across the hotel and it is very good... So, we had a wonderful time there (even if the weather didnt help... it was cloudy all the weekend). I would recommend it to a friend!

“Quiet and Comfortable”

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for our first anniversary and we really enjoyed it. It was always quiet, and the office staff are very nice and helpful. We stayed in one of the garden view rooms which had a door from the inside of the inn and a door to the porch which led (via a short walk) to the parking lot. It was nice not to have to walk through the lobby to get to our car. The next time we return to St. Augustine, we will stay here.

“Inn at Camachee”

The hotel is set in a very pretty environment. A little difficult to find (especially at night). We were a little unhappy about security and having a key to front door because staff goes home by 9 p.m. Otherwise, staff members very nice when there. We thought there was a trolly into Old St. Augustine but were misinformed. It was a great place for a one night stay but would think about staying longer.

“Good value for party of six”

My husband and I were traveling with our four kids, and we really did not want to pay for two rooms and have everyone divided during our vacation. We had two double beds and a sleeper sofa in this room, and it was great. We had a mini fridge, microwave, and sink. Sharing a bathroom wasn't ideal, but we managed. The breakfast was unimpressive, only bagels and prepackaged muffins and danishes. We had a harbor view room and enjoyed being able to check out the boats from our deck. Beds were kind of hard for my taste and coffee cups were dirty. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

“Nice place to stay, but not perfect”

The Camachee Inn was a nice little place to stay. The good: -Our room had a jacuzzi and it was really nice. -It was a big comfortable room. -It was in a nice area. -The staff were friendly and accomodating when we arrived. -We had a view of the Harbor which was pretty. The bad: -The refrigerator door didn't open correctly and my boyfriend actually fixed it. -The carpet was old and stained. -The staff was not onsite during the evening (they closed up shop around 9pm and went home). Normally it wouldn't have been a huge problem; however, on our last night there, the fire alarm went off at 3am (no fire, someone must have smoked in one of the rooms - it was prohibited) and noone from the hotel could be contacted. The fire department came and checked everything out, but it was hard to get back to sleep after all that. Even by morning when we checked out, the management did not know about the alarm going off. Overall it was a good stay, I just would have expected a little bit more for our money and was surprised that the management didn't atleast send an apology letter to the guests for our loss of sleep.

“Romantic Location, Marina! Similar Set up to Time Share.”

As with most trades with time-share quality places, we were very happy with size of the room. However, one must expect in a time share class building, with daily freshening service, to have little amenities, which is the case here. The rating on this property was 2 stars. I am sure that if this were more of a resort type complex, the rating would be about 3.5 stars. There was no misrepresentation of this fact before booking, so we knew exactly what to expect and we were completely happy with our stay. The location is excellent for exploring St. Augustine. The marina is located on the northwest side of the Villano Beach Bridge & 1.5 miles from the north city-historic district-parking garage. (PS-no late night attendants, swipe your visa and go! Nice job!) We prefer to visit the district, not stay in it. As you may have guessed we planned a romantic weekend. Morning walks around the marina and bridge along with a little 6am to 2:00pm, marina market with home made breakfast items and coffee, what can I say! We did have a good time. Great for Romantic out of the way stays near the heart of the incredibly Romantic St. Augustine Historical District. Just follow your nose and ears to the restaurants and drinking establishments you are attracted to and you will not be disappointed. Did I mention we had a good time! As always, the Gator Nibble Café, was delightful! Thanks!

“Nice Option”

Great view of the marina. Complimentary breakfast next door or for $5 - $10 you could get a pretty decent meal and start to your day. Short drive to city center. Only complaint was the mattress was terrible. Had a hard time getting comfortable but for two nights managed.
