Great place to stay.Every staff member went above and beyond to please. The restaurant/ bar is located on the grounds. Fabulous homemade pizza ....you are able to watch your pizza being prepared by the staff. The restaurant also has other menu items that we tried which were very tasty. The rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. If you are there to see the historic downtown it is a short drive down the road. Would absolutely stay again.

Overall nice place. Very clean and rooms modern Little father from Historical District than it appears to be on website. WiFi terrible like dial up and unreliable. For that reason alone will not stay there again.

Right next to a railroad !

There are only two things wrong with this hotel. One being the portable cooler/heater hanging on the wall (no central air) makes loud clicking noises that you don't notice until you are trying to sleep. Once you get around to finally falling asleep you are awoken by an hourly train that comes through blasting its horn next to the hotel. If you're planning on staying up all night then this one is for you.

What a jewel!!

After my ongoing search for a room on a very booked weekend, this vacancy at the Jaybird popped up and I grabbed it. I knew its location already and the recent reviews looked great. It did NOT disappoint! The check out wasn't too early, accessible parking, continental breakfast and ideal location! ! Look forward to booking with them again!!

Excellent Renovations, & great modern furnishings!

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Saint Augustine, Fl. The owner has put so much money, time, and care into renovating this property, and it truly shows! Very large and modern style rooms, with very comfortable beds/bedding. Nice breakfast in the lobby with hot waffles and pastries!

Comfortable and clean.

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Spacious clean room.
Cons: Needs a little better breakfast.
Location: Close enough to the historic district but not so close that you'll want to walk there.
Overall a nice place to stay. Room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The wife used the fitness facility and it was enough to meet her needs. The continental breakfast was okay. Would prefer some variety from day to day and a single, simple egg dish or similar would be nice to add. Instant oatmeal and a self-made belgian waffle were the main dishes besides the toast, muffins and bagels. Coffee was quite good though. Staff was very helpful with tour arrangements and transportation. I'd stay there again.
