Not your average hotel...

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Private parking/ Private Beach. The staff, other than the first guy we met. New key cards, Breakfast, clean rooms, quiet street, large TVs, nice decor
Cons: Mainly, just the guy we met when we first arrived. He put a bad taste in our mouths for the hotel. If your staff hates it, your guests might too.
Location: Across from the beach, quiet road, Beaches Restaurant, Publix, local pizza and asain, close to the pier, 30 minutes to outlets, 20 minutes to downtown
We were greeted by a young man who clearly hated his job and even told us he didn't want to be there. It was a very small hotel with small rooms and a very small breakfast area; however, the breakfast was pretty good and had lots of options. It is located ACROSS THE STREET from the beach even though the pictures might suggest otherwise. We were told the pool was heated but found it pretty cold every time we got in. The owners have a cat that hung around in the lobby. This might be my fault but I was unaware that the hotel was on Vilano Beach. There isn't much there other than a Publix and a few restaurants. The pier was close and really nice. It is close to the famous restaurant BEACHES. The only rooms that have a beach view are the upstairs balconies that face the street (about 8 rooms). The decor was very updated and very nice. There are huge TVs in the rooms. Everything was very clean and the maids were helpful and courteous.

Pros: Close to the beach.

Overall, decent deal. Was not happy with the overall cleanliness with room when we first got there. (Hair on the bathroom floor.)

Awesome homelike atmosphere

Posted Feb 22, 2014
While driving through the area, I found this inn on Expedia. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I like that it is a small inn with a homelike feeling. We were able to walk on the beach and swim in the pool. Overall, we were happy with the quality and the price.

Third time is a charm.

Posted Feb 11, 2014
When we checked in Laura greeted us like family and said "Welcome home". Room had view of the wetlands this time, so we got to see the sun set. Breakfast was delicious as usual and Vanessa, Melissa, and Lisa make it so much more like home. You should try it.

The sausage lady returns

Posted Jan 28, 2014
This is my family's second time here. We love the breakfast of sausage and scrambled eggs, waffles, muffins and donuts, and even yogurt. We love the view from the second floor. Opening the door to a view of the ocean, and then being to step out onto a patio for a better view is incredible. Ocean front means across a two lane road and over the dune. You can see the waves crashing from the second floor. And last but not least we love the people. Vanessa, Melinda and Lisa made our stay complete. They remembered us from our previous visit and treated us like family. Our room was clean, our breakfast hot, and we were sad to leave. We will be back.

RELAXING

Hotel staff was very friendly & accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast area was small but food was good. Will stay there again if I'm in the area.
