Room 5 miles away from tourist attractions

Check in was easy, front desk guy accommodated us with pet free rooms(I didn't realize was a pet friendly hotel-we all have allergies) Room clean, carpet almost had a moist feeling. I saw employee cleaning carpet with a mop in another room the following day which was weird. Kids were ok with making waffles for breakfast. This was spring break so younger crowd but otherwise quiet and safe. Sneezed whenever we were in room-I think they don't clean AC unit to well. It was last minute booking. It was ok. At least Publix and starbucks a little walk away.

Great room for the price.

Pros: Sheets were soft...not scratchy and smell like bleach like a lot of hotels
Cons: Breakfast later :)
Location: Putt putt right down the street. Publix close by for grocery shopping. Lots of restaurants and public beach parking is not far.
Very clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and friendly. Room was quiet. Not on the beach, but close to it.

Nice hotel close to everything

Hotel clean and comfortable. Could hear voices from other rooms. Expected it to be closer to beach. Pool was nice.

The laundry area was very dirty and the elevator could not have been cleaned or swept for the last week or two. Not up to Quality standards

Needs a total overhaul of rooms and facilities!

Pros: The location is across from the beach.
Cons: The exterior appearance of the hotel and the rooms need a thorough renovation.
Location: The surf clubs are also on A1A and have great food and atmosphere.
The exterior needs updating, not just a coat of paint. The facilities of elevator, laundry and ice machine need upgrading and to be more attractive. The room was very basic and had a strange odour, as though it was doused in bug spray. The mattress was good and firm but the heat pump unit was very noisy. The last drawback was the bathroom with the door that stucked to the floor as you opened or closed the door. The breakfast was adequate, however the eggs and coffe can be improved. The staff was helpful and tried there best.

Nice hotel close to historic downtown

The room was clean, and the variety on the TV was good. The breakfast was complete although it only goes til 9. Nearby there are a couple malls and the beach. The only thing I did not like was that there's a kind of hidden (I did not read this in the Expedia description of the hotel) $15 fee for every extra person (more than 1) that is with you. So if you book a $100 room and there are 4 people in your family, you really have to pay $145. For that price you can probably stay at a much better hotel.

I had reserved a room for two people, my brother and myself. He and I were attending a wedding. Two weeks ago, my brother suffered a medical emergency and could not attend. When I arrived at the front desk and asked for a single double bed, the front desk clerk told me that because I had reserved the room through Expedia, I could not renegotiate my bill and could not move to another room costing less. Was the front desk clerk correct? Am I locked into paying the Expedia charge?

Quiet hotel. Room was clean! Not ur top five star hotel but it was great enough for us. Great amenities, hot water and pretty good continental breakfast . Would stay there again.

The hotel is very comfortable and quiet. It is very "pet friendly" which for me is huge plus. My room had a tiny kitchenette in it with a fridge and microwave which really came in handy. The weather did not cooperate so I spent more time in the room than I normally would, so the room comfort was appreciated. Good selection of stations with the cable package. I have stayed at many of the hotels on St. Augustine Beach and would definitely stay here again.

Cons: The hotel needs a facelift
Location: The hotel is close to the beach.
We were very disappointed with the entire hotel. The rooms need to be updated. Everything in the room was 1970's.
