Overall, great place to stay. Check in was slow.

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Location was excellent! Breakfast was good, standard danishes, waffle maker, cereal, fruit. coffee not that great. Room very clean and comfy.
Cons: Check in experience
Location: Excellent! Close to downtown. Walking distance to lighthouse, and close to beach.
Check in was extremely slow. Was helping two older ladies when arrived, but we were ignored. She was helping them check in for over 15 minutes. An older gentleman arrived after us, and she asked him if he needed help prior to acknowledging us. Thankfully, he noted we had been waiting. She then proceeded to give a big sigh as if we were in the wrong for asking to be taken care of first as we had been waiting. She was not very friendly. I also inquired about printing out my boarding pass as the computer was not connecting to the internet and she was rude. She said she didn't know anything about the computer, when asked if she could call someone, she sighed again and said she would call someone if she had the chance. Very poor check in experience. Also the vending machine was out of most sodas. However, overall, nice hotel, comfy and clean room and close to all the downtown action and walking distance to the lighthouse. We were overall very happy with our stay.

Nice and cheap option

Nice remodeled room, clean bathroom, free breakfast( I love the self service waffles machine), enough parking , microwave and fridge. Walking distance to San Agustine castle is little bit far.

OK but NOT GREAT

Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: Location to everything we had going on that weekend.
Cons: Staff attitude, breakfast
Location: Just east of the Bridge of Lions, convenient to everything
The room was OK. Breakfast sucked and the woman running it was rude to older people at the next table, not at all friendly. Fridge was OK but not real cold, NO microwave as advertised. Person at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly, almost all other staff was not. Sufficient for the two nights we were there, for the cost which we got through expedia. If I had to pay full price, I might look around at other hotels. Older hotel but was clean enough, not perfect.

Sleep inn

Over all it was good. A few things in the room that could be overlooked. The main issue was the worst coffee at breakfast. I have never not been able to drink the coffee. It was awful.

Nice rooms..close to attractions..great rates...

Booking..check in ..very easy..prepaid with Expedia..room was good sized and a nice space to spend time in. Breakfast was decent..about normal.1/2 mile walk to downtown but many restaurants and attractions nearby including lighthouse and park. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again. St Augustine is one of my favorite spots and this was a great stay.

Lighthouse getaway.

Room had an odor , smelled like someone had been smoking. Ac was a little noisy. Wifi did not work in the room, had to sit in common area of hotel to get any reception. Clerk could not explain why, though she did try to be helpful. Biscuits and gravy was not our idea of a hot breakfast, though i guess it is popular in the south.

Clean and comfortable, but poorly maintained.

the room was clean and the bed was nice, but that's about all I can say. The air conditioning would not actually get cold. We prefer to sleep with the room around 65-68 degrees, but could never get it there. Also, the free Wi-if was extremely slow and it made looking for restaurants and activities laborious and aggravating. It was nicely situated in between the historic district and St Augustine beach or Anastasia State Park, but you also had to drive to get to anything.
