You get what you pay for...sorta.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Parking is limited and tight. Staffed at deal were professional. Elevator very slow. No ice/vending machines on second floor (they've been removed.) Newly refurbished room, but only a pocket door at toilet. Shower roomy, considering it's small appearance. Plenty of lighting, all institutional fluorescent above you, shines right in your eyes. Remote batteries dead (and the staff even commented on this to me, but did not fix! I had to call them up to fix my tv.) Walls offer little sound barrier, heard everything happening down the entire hall. Hot tub dirty, pool relatively clean. Check in-out easy, breakfast decent. For my need of "a place to crash" for one night, it was tolerable. Wouldn't stay longer than that.

Clean hotel, very close to St. Augustine (3 min)Posted Jul 22, 2014
Clean hotel, 3 minutes from St. Augustine. Across the street from light House. The rooms were clean, the A/C worked well. The bathrooms were also clean and the beds were comfortable. We arrived at 1 am and the gentleman in the check in was very nice! The only down part of this hotel is the breakfast and dining room. The good was OK but the waffle maker didn't work and the hard boiled eggs didn't taste right. The next day they had bread, pastries and biscuits with gravy not very appealing to those of us that don't eat carbs 2 days in a row. I understand this is free but is it really?

No frillsPosted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: updating and clean the carpets
Location: just outside downtown st. augustine
No frills hotel, stains on carpet in the hallway, room was adequate but had a pocket door into the bathroom, fixtures are out dated, and the parking lot is tiny and tight.

rough neighborhoodPosted Jun 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
I'm a smoker and this is a non- smoking hotel, which I was aware of when I booked the room. What I was not aware of was how poorly lit and scary the neighborhood was and how endangered I would feel going outside to smoke after dark.

Spent days looking for this roomPosted Jun 23, 2014
We got to our hotel at 3:15 and the clerk told us our room was not ready, we needed to go do something for 30 to 45 mins. Well since we aren't from the area( reason for the need of a hotel) we sat outside in our car for 40 mins before we could get a room key. Once inside the room was ok .... the pool was just outside the window so we walked around to see. It is a tiny little pool and of course since it is summer and mid day all the kids were in it .... all 6 that filled it. If you just need a bed and nothing else, this is the place for you

Perfect for what we needed.Posted Jun 9, 2014
We had a wonderful time in St Augustine! That being said, The Sleep Inn was a fine hotel. Staff was nice and accommodating, Rooms were clean, beds and pillows clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee was good as well. This is not a "Destination Resort" hotel. It is a Sleep Inn. It does not charge you "Destination Resort" prices. It had a nice, clean, small pool and a working hot tub. It had a shower and two beds. A small refrigerator kept or food and beverages cold. I walked across the Bridge of Lions to downtown (May be a bit of a haul for some, but I enjoy walking) and passed many cool places on the way. It's also just a short walk to the lighthouse. (Well, shorter than to Downtown) It's RIGHT next to a Putt Putt Golf Course which was nice for a little evening recreation. (Wear bug spray) The beach is a short distance away. (We are Florida residents, so we didn't actually make it to the beach) If you intend on spending your entire vacation IN the room, perhaps you should book at a high dollar venue, but if you're a real person and actually just shower, change and pass out in your room, (...and GET OUT AND ENJOY the beach and town, lol) Sleep Inn in a GREAT place to stay. We would book there again.
