Nice close to the beach

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Cons: Presently being upgraded
Swimming pool and hot tub under construction or destruction. Spacious room with king bed and full cable and flat screen. Great restaurants within walking distance. "Salt Life" right next door with great food and live music. This Super 8 is a great value.

Simple and Sweet

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Cons: Went for breakfast at 9:30 and there was nothing left. No coffee and no sweet rolls. Didn't expect a fancy breakfast.
The price was nice. Room was clean and beds comfy. We had everything we needed. We stayed over New Years. Loved the fireworks on the beach at 8:30. Loved walking across the street to the beach. Loved all that St Augustine has to offer during the holidays!

Pros: I like that it is close to the beach and that the staff is friendly and helpful. Especially liked FL warmth...coming from extreme cold in MN.
Cons: Black mold at the base of the bathtub in the crack between tub and tile. Clearly visible. An improvement would be a professional cleaning
Location: Next to a very good restaurant and across the street from the beach and a park area.
Lovely sand beach at the ocean. The motel was a short walk. Traffic noise was at a minimum, except for the cars parking immediately in front of the rooms.

Reasonable hotel with large rooms.

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: size of the rooms, quiet, friendly staff, clean.
Cons: attention to detail such as necessities in the room like toliet paper and soap.
Location: Right across from the beach, lots of resturants, some great for dining, others more family style and price.
negatives: very poor phone reception due to concrete walls, limited internet connection. Room had little toliet paper when I arrived and I had to ask for some. No pens, phone book etc in the room. some of the corners were dirty but otherwise clean. No soap in the bathroom, only a small bottle of shampoo. Pros: Large room, clean, good view, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. Staff was friendly and the room was fairly quiet. Considering the price, this was a good value.

Pros: The convenient location.
Cons: The cleanliness of the carpets. You could tell they hadn't been cleaned in a while.
Location: The beach bus was a great experience. Very friendly drivers.
The people where friendly and helpful. The beach is across the street and it was relatively peaceful. Convenience stores and restaurants nearby.

Clean and a two minute walk to the beach.

Great spot if you aren't in the hotel for a spa experience. It was clean, comfy, Spartan. Standard breakfast fare. Folks at front desk were super nice. Restaurant next door is fabulous if you like fresh seafood. Beach is across the street. Walked out on the fishing pier and took great sunrise/sunset photos. Compared to the pricing at some of the other hotels around town, this was a bargain. Would stay again if I go back.

Great location, budget friendly

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Price for it's location
Cons: Cleaner bedspreads, some of of the staff was indifferent, not rude just not particularly friendly
Location: Right across from the Atlantic Ocean and the pier, a short car ride to St. Augustine
Clean budget motel with a great location, across from the pier. Front desk was unwilling to accommodate my request for a later checkout. Room was clean and in good order. My only suggestion would be to launder the bedspread as it looked soiled or worn. I would stay here again.
