“Like visiting friends”

This is a small hotel where you can make yourself at home. Don't expect all the amenities, but do expect a place where you are just visiting friends who encourage you to make yourself at home. Even Tiger the cat is friendly. I suggest that you have a car to get here and go all over the island, but don't forget, they drive US cars on the left side of the road.

“Can't wait to go back”

I just returned from a trip to St. Croix and stayed three days at the Arawak Inn. The day I got to the Inn Jennifer welcomed me with a tour of the property and the room. Breakfast had a personal touch. Breakfast was Buffet style or made to order. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

“Wonderful, relaxing, friendly”

Wonderfully friendly and helpful hotel manager/owner. Room very comfortable, spacious, clean with all described amenities. Use of the kitchen was great! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Lovely view. A bit hard to get around without a rental car but well worth it.

“Nice, clean, quiet, and family-friendly”

My girlfriend and I spend 5 days here at the end of 2009. The owners, Jennifer and Lionel, went out of their way to make our vacation truly wonderful. This quiet, relaxing, family friendly B&B is conveniently located within walking distance from Columbus’ landing and Salt River Bay National Park, on the North shore of St. Croix. All rooms have air conditioning, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the ocean, thanks to a patio that is overlooking Salt River Bay. The hotel also has a nice pool with a bar. Our room was large, nice, extremely comfortable, and was always kept spotless clean. I loved our accommodation. Jennifer and Lionel are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and it is not rare for them to invite their guests over for dinner. Lionel is an excellent cook, particularly with fish, and every morning would prepare something different and always delicious for breakfast. When we booked our vacation we made the mistake not to reserve a rental car, and by the time we got to St. Croix there were none available. Jennifer and Lionel were so amazingly kind to offer us to use their second car! Their helpfulness and kindness really made an enormous different for our vacation, making our feel like we were among family. I can’t wait to go back, and I cannot recommend this place high enough.

“Beautiful View”

The Arawak was a pleasant and comfortable stay. Lionel and Jennifer are the best hosts with whom I've interacted. The breakfasts were great and the view was amazing. The location is a bit off the beaten path, so I recommend renting a car. If you plan on diving, however, the anchor dive shop is a very short walk.

“Arawak Bay Hotel”

We recently stayed in the Arawak Bay Hotel, October 2011, and had an outstanding stay. The room was big, the hotel was in great condition and the owners were wonderful. Each morning the owners would make us breakfast which included fresh fruit, coffee/tea, and eggs/waffles or some other main breakfast item. The hotel pool was small but comfortable and there was a fully stocked bar available on an honor system 24 hours per day. This was a nice convenience because there are not a lot of convenience or grocery stores on the island. The room was tastefully decorated and the air conditioning worked great. Also, no sign of mosquitos, as this can be a problem on the island if you don't stay in the right type of place. You need a car to get anywhere from this hotel, so if you are going to stay here you should rent your own car.

“Clean, friendly, and a great value for the money!”

This is an awesome place to stay if you like to stay in a place where you are not just a number. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the comfort of our room. Each morning we were treated to a top-notch hot breakfast by Lionel and Jennifer(the owners). Any questions or problems that we encountered were solved almost immediately. Jennifer and Lionel are very friendly and professional and have created a home away from home for their guests. We are planning to go back and look forward to seeing Jennifer and Lionel again, and to sleeping in the most comfortable beds ever. I was almost convinced that the bed was more comfy than the one at home. Tiny personal touches abound here which make all the difference. If you are looking for a big resort with a massive pool this place is not for you. If you want to stay in a place where they know your name and pay attention to your needs, this is the place to go.

“Great place to stay you will love it”

My 22 year old son and I stayed at the Arawak for five nights and it worked very well for us, not fancy or a 5 star hotel but a great place for a low cost room, with a wonderful ocean view in a location convenient to most parts of the Island where you can regroup each day. The rooms are clean, they have cable and the beds are comforatable. Lionel and Jennifer the friendly couple who run the hotel operate it more like a bed and breakfast. Lionel seems to enjoy cooking and mostly will make you a made to order breakfast that is very tasty. The hotel is located on the North Shore road about halfway between downtown Christiansted and Cane Beach. It has a small pool with an honor system pay as you go bar. When I go back again I will stay here again.

“Paradise Hideaway”

We highly recommend this hotel whether for leisure or business. The owners and staff made our trip pleasant, very enjoyable and affordable. I had many questions before and after we arrived. Jennifer and Lionel provided expert knowledge, information and advice. Lionel is an excellent chef and offers a large selection of breakfasts. If you like to hike - definitely talk to Lionel. Our room was very spacious, modern, clean with comfortable beds including a massage recliner. The hotel landscape is very beautiful with gorgeous mountain and ocean views. The pool area is inviting with a bar and even a barbecue if your interested. Lionel, Jennifer and staff are accommodating and extremely friendly. Going back would be like going home.
