An L-shaped pool above the beach measures 50 feet on one side and 32 feet on the other. Lights adjacent to the pool permit 24-hour use.
The resort is set on a one-mile beach along Chenay Bay. Less than a mile offshore, a nature-preserve island called Green Cay shelters the bay, ensuring calm water in most weather. Guests paddle to the island in complimentary kayaks for swimming off a beach and collecting conch shells discarded by commercial fishers.
Near one end of the resort's beach, guests use complimentary snorkeling gear to explore rock troughs that constitute one of the North Shore's prime snorkeling sites. The troughs' marine life includes a resident five-foot eagle ray who often can be seen jumping out of the water in the mornings.
The other end of the resort's beach abuts a nature/bird preserve, home to a mangrove pond where guests can fish for tarpon (equipment not provided). Guests also can fish off the point for rock fish. Deep-sea fishing charters are available at a marina one mile away.
A water-sports center on the Christiansted waterfront 4 miles west of the resort offers snorkeling excursions to Buck Island Reef National Monument. Dive centers in Christiansted offer scuba and kayaking excursions to Salt River Bay National Park & Ecological Preserve.
The 18-hole Buccaneer Golf Course is 1.5 miles west of the resort, and the 9-hole Reef Golf Course is 3.5 miles east.
