“Quiet vacation”
The staff was very nice, I wanted to taste some of the local food, the staff recommend places in town to go. If you want to relax this is the place to be. Our room was right by the pool couple steps from the beach. The kiddie pool needs to be clean and the beach have alot of seaweed, the locals recommend other beaches on the island. Overall it looks nice and clean beach view was nice.
“Some Maint. Needed but Overall a Great Resort”
The service could be a little slow at times and the beer wasn't cold most of the time but overall it was a great place to stay. The food was good and plentiful and the choices were pretty good. The resort could use some maintenance though. The beach area was overgrown with vines so you couldn't use the entire beach area and there was always sea weed you had to walk thru to get to the water. The mini golf course needed major attention. The water features weren't working and the grounds around it needed attention as well as some of the holes. More attention needed to be given to the grounds in general. That said, we did enjoy our stay very much and would love to go back to St. Croix but maybe not stay there.
“Great hotel recommended by Women's Day Magazine”
The hotel and staff were very nice and informative. The rooms were clean and the food was very good. Great price for an all-inclusive.
“Good for the price but don't expect wonderful”
The hotel itself was nice, clean and safe but had few "extras". The food was very good at the Starlight and the beachside cafe locations but stay away from eating at the casino. Service was poor to excellent depending on the personality of the server. Due to the location of the hotel there were no waves on the beach (due to reef 100 ft. of shore), lots of weeds in the water (not inviting for swimming), and you cannot see the sunrise or set. There is very little landscaping and no room between the hotel and the beach to add any. The food everywhere on the island is expensive and the all inclusive option is a great way to afford the meals and drinks. The drinks and bartenders were exceptional. Try a Cruzan Confusion (not made the same as the recipe.) It was a pleasant place to stay and well worth the price, but there was no "wow" factor.
“The Best deal on the island!”
Divi was absolutely wonderful!! Great for families or couples. I believe Divi’s all-inclusive is the best deal on the island. You can order ANYTHING from their menus, including ANY alcoholic drinks. Their male chef at Dockside knows how to cook fish and shrimps. Staff is Super nice, helpful and friendly. Sure, the hotel is not a 5-star super-deluxe hotel and may need little maintenance here and there, but very clean and relaxing: nothing inconvenient. We feel we got a lot more than what we paid for. The location is superb for nature lovers, being right next to the East Marine Park. Turquoise water is absolutely gorgeous!! And it’s right outside of your balcony (Every room is ocean view, I was told). You can enjoy snorkeling right off the beach and enjoy coral reefs and fish! Helpful tips: Rent a car, definitely join Karaoke night, Crab race, and Moko Jumbi/Carribean BBQ night, try snorkeling and kayaking with Sean and be aware of “island time,” go to Buck Island on TeroroII (captain Carl and assistant Paul are wonderful), and explore the island! We will go back on a heart beat!! Closing note: I noticed quite some damage to coral reefs, even around the Buck Island National Park. I was explained that it was due to Hurricane Hugo and all the pollution that we contribute. Let's do our share to protect the paradise like St. Croix. One little action you make everyday will make a big difference in the end.
“Very relaxing”
Pros: Great view, food and drink, quiet and fairly secluded, nice rooms, great pool, beach, kind people, Thursday night BBQ, water sports, other activities Cons: distance from other attractions, service at times rather slow
“Divi Exceeded my Expectations”
The Divi staff was wonderful. The food was excellent; far better fare than I have had at other all exclusives. The rooms are not luxurious but the setting and friendly staff more than make up for the basic rooms. The resort was very relaxed and cheerful; having had to vie for lounge chairs at other resorts and cruises, Divi was a relaxing change. I will go back! I felt it was a great value.
“Fabulous time in St. Croix”
Had a fabulous time...very peacful and phenomenal view thru out different parts of St. Croix. You must rent a car to get a full experience, plus you drive on the left hand side at all times on the road. I would definitely go back and visit!
“St.Croix paradise”
Had an excllent time, nice staff.
“St Croix in December 2009 at the Divi Carina”
We had a great time. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was attentive and very helpful. Not a single problem. Fabulous.
