Hotel on the Cay has a long history of intrigue dating back to the 17th century when pirates anchored their ships off the beach where guests now sunbathe, swim and snorkel. This 50-year-old property (many believe was the inspiration for Herman Wouk's famous book "Don't Stop The Carnival") is a combination hotel and time-share located in Christiansted harbor on Protestant Cay, a 2 minute ferry ride from downtown Christiansted. Under new management, the hotel is being renovated as St. Croix's leading eco-tourism destination.
