AwesomePosted Oct 14, 2013
Great view, super soft beds, wonderful beach. Negatives, clerk left early (2200) and hadn't received our room reservations which in turn annoyed the ship's captain who had to check us in. I guess he is anti atm, computers, or all electronics. We did finally make it into our room and it was fabulous.

Great vacation spotPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: The location-you are on a private island.
Cons: bar and restaurant closes at 5 pm-they need to keep it available until at least 10 pm.
Location: located on its own private island with mainland 2 minute boat ride away.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. It was private, peaceful getaway. The weather was perfect. What made it special was the fact that the hotel was situated on its own island. The staff was helpful and accommodating. What made it special was receiving fresh flowers from Sarah and staff on my birthday. Thank you Sarah-you're the best.

Nice beach front propertyPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Small private beach with availability of ample watersporting activities.
Stayed 2 nights. Our room had a view of the Christiansted harbor. Was actually quite a nice room for the price. Cay only accessible by boat which runs continuously. Absolutely no wait. All staff were professional and courteous. Wish I could have stayed longer. Would certainly go back to this hotel on a future trip.

Nice comfortable hotelPosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a great stay at this hotel. Our toddler had room to run as the living area and bedroom were big. The bathroom was very small, room for only one person at a time but it was nice. Lots of closet space. We had an ocean view room which was nice to watch the sunrise and sunset. Everything was very clean; housekeeping cleaned every day of our stay. The pool was a nice option if you didn't want to go to the beach. They have a bar on the beach where you can get drinks (and food) and sit outside by the water. Our only complaint was the Wi-Fi, it was terrible. Our room was right off the lobby and we had to come out into the lobby to connect our phone to the wifi and it dropped when we came back to the room. But overall our stay was awesome!

Aging MatronPosted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: She's not a fancy resort and is aging like most of the surroundings of Christiansted but offered everything I wanted AND great snorkeling.
Cons: Needs repairs.
Location: Absolutely wonderful - close to boardwalk and downtown restaurants and bars yet 5 minutes away from it all. Exactly what I wanted for a vacation!
This hotel is like my mother - a beautiful aging queen who welcomed me with a warm embrace yet she isn't as strong as she once was, she wants me to feel comfortable and at home, you can still see her beauty although she is aging, and she rattles and groans in the wind. She sits alone on her isle but is close to the busyness of the town. She offers herself without putting on airs. She had a wonderful buffet and entertainment on Tuesday night, and great snorkeling on her shores. I love her! (my camera broke, so I have no pictures to share)

Unique location makes for a memorable stayPosted Mar 20, 2013
Pros: Location and very clear water.
Cons: The lease on the island expires in 2020 so it seems that maintenance expenditures are kept at a minimum. With that said it was still clean and safe.
Location: Christiansted has a high concentration of restaurants and is the starting point for most excursions. You don't really need a car.
This hotel is all about its location. Physically it is just okay, but the fact that you are on private island which is a very short virtually on demand ferry ride from the boardwalk and excursion docks of Christiansted makes it very memorable. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, there is a very nice beach with crystal clear water and a beach bar on premises with good food and drink.

Fine time.Posted Feb 5, 2013
Pros: Beach and Location
Cons: Again, the random way you are given a room with no real choice in where you stay.
Location: Fantastic! Right in town and yet on your own Tropical Island
My wife and I have always enjoyed Hotel on the Cay. Location is great and the beach fantastic. The staff were most helpful and took care of us well. Only downside is that the choice of rooms is pretty random. Although our room was OK it was way away from the main hotel. I would doubt that I would book it again unless we had more input into which rooms would be available when we booked.
