Carambola Resort RelaxPosted Nov 21, 2013
Pros: It is everything they say it is with some added pleasant surprises.
Location: If you want to see the rest of St. Croix be sure to rent a car.
If you want a resort to relax and have no worries, this is the place. As far as my wife and I are concerned we had one of the best vacations in a long time. The People (staff and locals) are extremely friendly and always with a smile.

This resort exceeded our expectations!Posted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Absolutely everything...we miss the extra cozy bed, comforter and pillows that were cleaned daily.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: There is really no need to leave this resort. The Domiano Club is something to Check out as well as the sunset at Rainbow beach.
The resort was absolutely beautiful with one of the best beaches on island, especially if you enjoy snorkeling! There was ample staff and everyone was always offering to help with even the littlest things. The rooms were cleaned top to bottom on a daily basis as if you had just checked in. The pool area was always clean and quiet relaxing! The food at the restaruant was some of the best on island and the wait/bar staff were very attentive. Can't wait to return there and see all the friends we met!

Zen like beach!Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Staff and food!
Cons: Lightening in the hotel room was too dark.
Location: If you want to party this is not the hotel for you. But on Fridays they have a great buffet and DJ.
Isolated and peaceful resort for anyone seeking a nice get away from the frenzy of their day to day!

Nice hotel with great waterfront location.Posted Sep 4, 2013
Pros: Beach was really nice. Many hotels don't have real beach access, so this was a real find.
Cons: Hotel bar prices were too high to enjoy patronizing the place. After initial sticker shock, I never got anything there for the remainder of our stay.
Location: Location was a little distant from most island places to see and activities, so a rental car is a must. Nice hiking trail from the hotel was fun.
The Carambola Beach Resort was a nice hotel with good access to sandy beach area, good pool for post-ocean cooling off, and good extra activity options. Staff was very nice and front office reps were helpful in many ways, especially providing information on island places to see.

Great hotel and staff. Loved it , ready for anothePosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Rooms, staff, secluded
Cons: More lighted roads to the hotel, and cell service
No cell service if you have Verizon. Beach was a bit choppy, but I loved the seclusion of the hotel. Bed was amazing, bathroom amazing. Went home to deal with family issues, so this hotel was a perfect escape

Wonderful place and staff, a few touches neededPosted Jun 17, 2013
Pros: Room architecture, resort layout, and super friendly staff.
Cons: Room lighting, louvers for wall AC unit, and spruced up tennis facilities.
Location: Fantastic location to unplug and relax. Nearby Tidal pools and a scuba dive are musts. Cane Bay for snorkeling and dining (Waves, Rowdy Joe's).
The Carambola is beautifully situated in a narrow cove in what feels like a rainforest. The architecture of the rooms, and the facility are very nice. The staff are exceptionally friendly from the registration desk to the groundskeepers. This is the place to unplug and disconnect. No shopping or nightlife within walking distance, if that's your thing. Walk to the tidal pools is a must, but not a stroll in the park. Get ready to sweat. Renting a car is a good idea, but rent once you arrive vs. at the airport. It's much easier. As far as the resort, we would like to see some add'l room touches to make this place truly 5-star including, additional lighting in the room (floor lamp, end table and lamp in sitting area, and shower area), as well as a ceiling fan on the sreened-in porch. Finally, the tennis courts could use some freshening up, and find some way to quiet the generator noise.

Great place for lovers!Posted Jun 4, 2013
Cons: One of the front desk receptionists.
Pull out the check book and reserve the deluxe ocean front unit, but it's a dream experience which will set the bar high for any future attempts at this type of paradise retreat. Renting and using a car is a must!
