Beautiful setting. Good food. Everything close.Posted Oct 11, 2014
Too short a visit to say. Enjoyed the stay. Mahi was fresh. Wife could not join me. Extreme prohibition against smoking ANYWHERE on the property.

Wonderful experience. Staff go out of their way.Posted Sep 26, 2014
We booked a room with a king size bed and were initially put in a room with 2 queens. Ashton at the front desk immediately rectified the situation and everything after that was perfect. We stayed in the Frigate Suite. Highly recommend!

Great ExperiencePosted Aug 26, 2014
I had a great time. We're so glad that we chose the Buccaneer over the other hotels/resorts and will likely return again. Too many great things to mention so I won't list them here. The only drawback that I encountered was the almost non-existent WIFI signal inside of rm 165. I had a couple of wireless devices and they all struggled. Probably a good thing as it forced me to disconnect from work :).... otherwise I sat on the porch... or even the beach when better wifi service was needed.

FANTASTICPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Simple beauty with simple style. The Buccaneer keeps its roots in mind while providing excellent modern-day hospitality.
Cons: Perhaps I could think of something over the next year but right now I cannot think of a single improvement.
Location: SPECTACULAR VIEWS! You cannot take your eyes off the beautiful water, oh and beautiful golf course as well! Enjoy the locals and the natural beauty!
Upgraded us to Ocean Front with patio over the ocean! Room just renovated with marble bathroom; double sinks. lots of closet space. Ice water daily was nice touch. Housekeeping was wonderful with TWO stops for cleaning AND turndown service; great getting fresh towels afternoon and evening! Everyone SO kind and polite and helpful. Rum punch upon arrival is your first indication of the delightful vacation you are about to have. Good food and good service at all three restaurants, The Terrace is such a beautiful setting. Entertainment at the lounge was great way to end the evening. Three beautiful beaches. Concierge was very helpful. Such relaxing natural beauty here. Conde Nast had it correct in designating The Buccaneer as one of the top 50 resorts in the world!

Best five days of my summerPosted Aug 20, 2014
Absolutely loved the Buccaneer and St. Croix. We stayed in an oceanfront room and enjoyed the convenience of walking to the pool, beaches and dining areas. Everything was clean, accessible and staff was very helpful and friendly. Booked an all day excursion to Buck Island and was so gal we did. Beautiful beach, hiking trail, and breathtaking snorkeling. Can't wait to plan our next trip here!

Good golfing vacationPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Open air bar and eating next to reception, with great views of the ocean.
Cons: A la carte restaurant open 7 days a week.
Nice beach and water. Staff courteous and helpful. All eating venues have basic menu's except the main restaurant - but this not open everyday, which is disappointing. Golf course in good condition - interesting holes and some scenic views - the 3rd resembles Pebble Beach. Good venue for a short stay golfing vacation.

Family of 4 vacation.Posted Aug 11, 2014
The resort was great & felt safe! Staff was A especially "CJ." He was the beach shack attendant. He took my husband to the reef & went spear fishing. Food was $$$ & was just ok. Breakfast buffet was great. A waiter is in desperate need to serve drinks on the beach. There were so many times we'd like a cocktail, but didn't feel like walking all the way to the bar. People would use it all day long!

Fantastic stayPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Great staff, great atmosphere, great food
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Fantastic location. Christianstead is a bit run-down, but OK for a quick visit. Buck Island is worth a look.
Nothing negative to say at all about the resort, the location, or the staff. All were excellent! Beaches and food on-site were superb. The snorkelling at Mermaid beach was almost as good as Buck Island, and we could go every day.

Wow.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Beach, staff, food.
We checked out a bunch of beaches around the island and snorkeled a lot of them. The beach at The Buccaneer was our favorite. Sea turtles, rays, lots of fish and coral. The staff was fantastic, easily the best we've ever experienced. From booking off-resort dinner reservations complete with drop-off/pick-up taxi, to hand written directions for excursions around the island. They helped with everything! Oh and.. the drinks aren't bad either.

Best balcony viewPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Charm and access to beach.
Cons: Update decorations and furnishings.
Location: You need a car. Crux an rum tour a must.
Great trip. Management upgraded us and gave us champagne for our anniversary. Staff is friendly and helpful. Joel at concierge office plans the sailing trips and snorkeling. A must!!!!
