Not good

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: On a good note, the hotel is right off the freeway, so very easy to find.
Cons: See first comment.
The room had a terrible smell... like urine. I woke up in the middle of the night because I could smell cigarette smoke being blown through the air conditioning unit into my non-smoking room. I couldn't get back to sleep because the bed was very uncomfortable. I knew I wouldn't be staying in a luxurious hotel, but this was really not worth the money. I may have slept as well in my car. :( Sorry to be so negative.

Nice Small Hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Cons: hair dryers and towel racks
This was a nice hotel. Clean and central to Bluff street and easy access to Green Valley. They didn't have a hair dryer, which was a problem for my curly hair, and no towel rack by the sink. Other than that, it was well maintained and simple. Had a micro and a small frig and flat screen TV and cable....but no DVD.

Not great.

Posted Oct 20, 2014
We travelled for UEA weekend, and most of the hotels were full. The price was good on this one, but I was disappointed in the condition of the hotel room. It was old, the A/C was ineffective and loud, the linens were old and scratchy, and the TV was tiny. Probably wouldn't ever stay there again. For a few dollars more, we could have had a much nicer room.

Cons: No hair dryer, shampoo.creme rise. Who doesn't provide a hair dryer?
Room was clean, staff friendly. Nothing remarkable about the room. Okay for one night only.

OK for quick overnight

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: The quality of items in the room was poor: seems like they chose the very cheapest kleenex, cheapest and smallest bath soap, no shampoo/conditioner.
Checked in with a very pleasant front desk representative who accommodated my request for a room on the ground level. The actual room was adequate: 2 queen beds, enough towels, TV working, but nothing remarkable at all. We were there for only a short time, but for a stay of more than overnight I would not return.

Clean but old...good location/pool

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, fridge in room.
Cons: Bathroom smelled of urine--it is old and needs to be updated. Carpet is worn and old. Decor.
Location: Right off the freeway. Hiking, shopping, biking. It is a great location.
This hotel is clean but old and smelly. The staff brought a room freshener but it didn't really help. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have stayed here before and knew what to expect. Location is great and it has everything we needed.

Pros: Good location
Cons: More attention to detail by the hotel staff.
The room access cards were incorrectly keyed, locking us out after the first day. The television reception was very poor, with the explanation that maybe the cables were loose somewhere. Housekeeping bypassed our room because it wasn't on their list for cleaning. I had to ask for clean towels. Then, the toilet stopped working (the valve in the tank would not refill the tank).

This hotel was very nice and in a very nice location. The only thing was that our room was not ready when we got there. They had to switch rooms with us. But other than that, great staff and good rooms.

The Best Place with The Best Price

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: The price, location, and amenities.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Near freeway, historic district, restaurants, and Tuacahn.
We choose the Claridge Inn almost every time we visit St. George. I don't think you can find a lower price for a night's stay. Included in the price is a fridge, microwave, plentiful towels, iron and ironing board, table and chairs, and adjustable air conditioner. All this that was mentioned was not available the night before in the cheapest motel in Cedar City. We will always make the Claridge Inn our first choice whenever we go back to St. George!

Pleasant stay for last minute trip

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Cons: One thing that could have been better was the TV. The clarity was very fuzzy on all the channels. The A/C worked great although it was loud.
Location: The hotel was right off the freeway. In our short stay we traveled to Zions, spent some time at Pioneer Park, and drove out to see the dinosaur tracks
We booked the trip as a quick last minute getaway. We arrived late. The hotel was easy to find just off the freeway. The woman at the desk was very polite and quick to get us all set up. The hotel room felt clean and adequate for the rate we paid.
