Motel sympa

Posted Apr 25, 2015

Zions spring break trip

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Refurbish the rooms, get new towels, step up the quality of the breakfast
The hotel is old which is OK. Internet service was terrible. Breakfast was disappointing.

Needs some work

Water in shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold constantly, Wi-Fi sucked, took forever to connect then wouldn't stay connected. Bed was quite hard.

Poor facilities

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Nothing sticks out
Cons: Improve the breakfast.
Location: Takes to long (+30 min) to get to Zion Nat Park.
The pool was dirty. Only had a waffle maker and a toaster for breakfast; spent another 50 for breakfast out in town which wasted another hour getting on the road. Room had a tile not even secured to a ledge divider in the room. Checkout consisted of leaving the card key at the desk; no one attending desk. Pays to spend the extra money to be closer to Zion Nat Park, and get a decent Continental Breakfast which pays for the room difference, saves time to the park, and a little cleaner facilities.

Repairs done by a novice

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Redo the entire bathroom!
Location: It's fairly close to Zion's. It took us about 30 minutes to get there. The hotel is a mile away from food.
The property is well used and abused. It's an okay place to spend the night while spending your days at Zion's or someplace else. Our room was clean but I felt sorry for the poor housekeeper who appeared to be alone in redoing the rooms. (There was a help wanted sign out front.) The pool and spa area looked nice and clean but we didn't have time to use it. The beds were comfortable and the tv worked well. There was a fridge and microwave that we didn't use, either. Now...what was wrong? The lobby bathroom was a dark disaster. Breakfast was oatmeal, Malt-o-Meal cereal or crusty waffles. The muffins were microscopic and the the white bread had thumbprints in it. There was no yogurt. Seating was quite limited. The threshold of our room looked as though a dog had been digging to get in or out where the room carpet met the hall carpet. The paint was great, but the bathroom was a disaster. The light switch had been repaired by someone who didn't know what they were doing. It was loose as well. The towel rack in the bathroom was screwed into a 1x4 and was loose. I wouldn't have put a bottle of shampoo on it. Part of the baseboard tile was missing at a key place, exposing another bad wallboard repair. Two of the large floor tiles were loose. We had a 40 watt bulb (or less) making for a somewhat dark room. The main room used to have a light fixture over the table. Part of the fixture was still there with a screw hanging out. Sleep here, but don't stay here!

Very Disappointed

Posted Mar 29, 2015
The rooms have a nice appearance and almost everything was clean except the blanket on our bed. However the internet did not work on any of our devices. In the breakfast room, one of the staff members went to get forks after poking around in the trash without washing her hands. Speaking of breakfast, there is absolutely no protein offered - only carbs. After hiking several hours and returning to the hotel for a hot tub, we found they randomly closed pool and hot tub early. Finally After this we tried to cancel our last night, but the manager did not OK it.

Couldn't even have my kids swim in the pool. The water was so cold. The other guests at the hotel also complained. It was very disappointing.
