In the middle of it!

Posted Dec 24, 2014
Pros: So,close,to Zion National Park.
Cons: Add a safe to store valuable. Offer scrambled eggs and sausage, not precooked egg/cheese/ham biscuits.
Location: Nestled in a small town, Springdale, with not much restaurants to choose, or shops to visit. You are here to spend as much time at the park.
This is a large hotel with several 2 storied buildings, surrounded by beautiful mountains. The room is not high end, but has all the amenities expected: flat screen TV, hair dryer, small fridge. They also provide breakfast.

Big Mistake

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: We stay at LaQuinta because they are Pet Friendly. The rooms were clean.
Location: The guest parking was adequate. The location is in walking distance of food and entertainment.
We usually stay at LaQuinta's because we've had good experiences and they are pet friendly. That was not the case this time. We didn't go on vacation to have noise disturbance every time a suitcase or luggage cart or housekeeping cart or trash cart was pulled across the walkway. It sounded like a freight train outside our room & the walkway was the same outside all the rooms. I don't know how this hasn't been complained about so much that it hasn't been resolved by simply installing rubber strips in the cracks so you don't hear every wheel roll over each crack every section of sidewalk. It is especially disturbing when trying to sleep or watch a movie or talking on the phone or even a face to face conversation. For example, beginning at 5am and not ending. Also, we could hear every door that slammed in our 2 story building. The bottom of the door let in wind light and noise - there was like an inch gap where the door should have met with the door jam/threshold. The parking was adequate but it was located 50-75 yards from the closest parking space. There were so many paths it was confusing like a maze.

Real nice nearly new motel in Springdale Utah

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Close to Zion National Park
Cons: A little map of the town from reception would be handy
Location: Springdale Utah, right next to Zion National Park
Clean and comfortable, when you are standing in the carpark it feels like they built the place in the bottom of a canyon. Zion National Park is about two miles up the road and is well worth a visit. The motel is in about the middle of the town of Springdale Utah, with plenty of food and touristy shops within short walking distance. Would be good for familys with children, has a swiming pool. Ideal base for going to Zion National Park. It cost $25 for a car at the Park gate for a seven day pass and you can see all the scenery without leaving the comfort of your chariot. We seen quite a few of those Bighorn sheep while drivimg around in the park.

Friendly staff, clean room, and economical. Stayed three nights for hiking trip at Bryce and Zion past week. Just steps away from Zion and just an hour away from Bryce.

Good off-season rates

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Cons: Breakfast menu.
Location: Zion National Park. Need to look no further.
Nice price for the off season. Almost brand new so rooms very clean and comfortable. Walking distance for restaurants and groceries. Short distance to the Park. Liked everything but the breakfast. Tended to be bland and tasteless. Couldn't wait to buy a breakfast after three mornings here.
