outstanding place to stay

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: outdoor pool and location
Cons: the water from the tap smelled like dirt & the TV volume kept cutting out. They tried to fix but it didn't work.
Location: backdrop is the mountains so views are amazing. Mt Zion shuttle stops in front of hotel. Nice family dinner and ice cream places are close in town
This hotel was such a great experience with the outdoor pool and the backdrop of the mountains was a welcome treat after hiking in zion. The staff were friendly. The room was decorated like a lodge and it was very comfortable. The lobby had a nice museum and gift shop. We had a little problem with the TV that they couldn't fix but it was still a great vacation stay.

View with bears

Pros: Incredible view - dinner with sunset. And an exhibition of widlife in the museum that cant really be decribed.
Cons: It was a bit quiet, the furthest out of town of all the Springdale hotels on the shuttle route.
Location: Zion is amazing, only had a day to explore but could have spent 3 days.
Spent a day here while visiting Zion for the first time. Loved Zion - did the Narrows walk complete with rented wet shoes and stick.

Great hotel with beautiful view

Pros: Quiet location, easy access to Zion, beautiful views, fine restaurant
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel has easy access via a free shuttle to many restaurants and shops in town and to hiking and other activities in Zion National Park.
We enjoyed the quiet location and the ease of access to Zion National Park. The hotel is on the western edge of town where it is quiet and restful. The free shuttle to town and to the entrance of Zion National Park is right across the street from the hotel so we could leave our car at the hotel and not worry about parking in either the park or in town. The hotel room was large with a nice balcony and windows facing a beautiful mountain view. The decor was classy rustic and very comfortable and clean. The hotel had a very helpful staff, a fine restaurant, lovely garden and an elegant gift shop. The small museum was an interesting feature. After hiking in the Park we also enjoyed a late afternoon swim in the nice pool at this hotel. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent at the hotel's restaurant.

Terrific spot to stay when visiting Zion NP.

We were very pleasantly surprised by how nice this place is. The views from the rooms and from the dining room are outstanding. Near the gift shop we discovered an amazing "museum" of stuffed animals, apparently trophies gathered by one of the owners. The dining room wasn't quite up and running when we were there, but the meal was OK anyway.

Spectacular views

We stayed here for one night between visits to the Zion and Bryce Canyons. Convenient location as the last shuttle stop to the Zion National Park. Cute items at the gift shop, adjacent to the lobby. If you have a car, go to town for your meals (or, check hotel restaurant prices before you're seated).
