Great location but low scale rooms

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: The beds are horrible. Very uncomfortable. The rooms stink and some of the rooms do not even have windows to the outside.
This motel is centrally located. However, the rooms are not at all like the web pictures look. The beds are horrible and even the sheets are scratchy and uncomfortable as well.

Perfect location

Perfect location at the edge of the Historic District. My husband and I picked St. George so that we could visit Snow Canyon State Park and the Dinosaur Museum. Both sites were within a very short drive. The motel itself was very clean, quiet, with helpful desk clerks. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs, waffles, and oatmeal. There was no place to sit and eat, so it needs to be prepared and taken back to room...no problem. VERY reasonable rates!!

Old but convenient to downtown St. George

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff and clean rooms.
Cons: It simply does not meet modern standards of size, comfort and convenience. Free breakfast served in the very small - about 10X12 feet - motel lobby.
Location: Well located in the middle of downtown St. George. Probably been there for about 70+ years.
This is a very old but reasonably well maintained motel. It was clean and the staff were pleasant. But, it was seriously overpriced for the overall quality of the place - small rooms, poor mattresses, standard definition tv (no HD), etc. There were several major activities in the area so all the newer, higher quality hotels/ motels were filled - there are dozens of them in the area - thus the rates were about double what was warranted for the quality of the hotel. We were there for a family event and did not know of the high demand so didn't make reservations as early as we should have. I'm sure rates were increased substantially because of the demand on this particular weekend. It is an old TraveLodge that has been repainted and renewed somewhat. We stayed because nothing else was available but would not have done so otherwise. Probably okay for a low- budget traveler but was certainly not low budget for this particular weekend!

Recently renovated, but not in a good way.

Pros: Location
Cons: Change it from Suite to regular King room. Inform guest that they will hear tv, and conversations from room next to them and the smell.
Location: Its on the main street. Lots of restaurants, close to everything.
When I arrived it didn't look like the pictures on line. Also after checking in the reservationist told me the wrong building. When he finally pointed out the right building I was confused, sign on door saying no trespassing violators will be prosecuted. Once in room it was no king suite. it smelled, tub looked dirty and I could hear full conversations from the next room. I was so looking forward for a king suite to relax in. Price said 40% off. It still cost 75.00 a night. Also no way to cancel. Automatically charged with no refund.

Disappointed With My Stay

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: They observed the "Do Not Disturb" sign I hung on the door.
Cons: Parking, in room coffee pot, wake up services, bed.
Location: Location was convenient to the freeway. Didn't need to find things to do locally.
When I checked in, I found out that my reservation had been messed up. They quickly fixed the problem though. The check in clerk apologized in advance for the electronic locks on the room, they sometimes don't work very well. They have free WiFi but it is extremely slow. No coffee pot in the room which I thought was rather strange. I called to arrange a wake up call at 5:30 AM and was told they don't have wake up service until after 7:00 AM. The mattress on the bed was not comfortable. This is the first time I've stayed in the St. George area, but for the price, I will be checking out other hotels in the future.

nice hotel in the heart of down town.

Pros: the staff was helpful and kind willing to help out.
Cons: wifi conection sucked wouldn't get us even a good e-mail connection. toilet was running iffy and didn't flush well when we told management we were to
Location: easy walking to good restaurants we didn't stay long enough to find out what else and had family to visit with on this trip
the pool was only slightly larger than a bathtub but it was a little cool for swimming on this trip. Room was small but it met with our needs really liked the fridge and microwave but the breakfast that was included was real high on sugars and didn't meet with my diabetic diet needs. I'd be happy to go again but next time i'd take my own breakfast.
