Good place to stay for snowmobiling

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: See above
Location: We were up there to ride sled so good spot right on trail
We were put right by the ice machine which made a lot of noise. They could place that by the lobby so it doesn't bother guests. The guy that check up in was kinda direct about calling them directly when making reservations.

North woods small town vacation

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Great whirlpool room. Good pool and hot tub. OK continental breakfast. Nice on site fire pit.
Cons: No concerns
Location: All things outdoors in northern Wisconsin. Small quiet town but close to more active Eagle River and Minocqua.
Much better than expected. Very well maintained property. Near all activities.

Great except for our "dog" problem.

Posted Oct 21, 2013
On the website, it states the one building is for people with dogs. My husband and I don't have one, but we stayed at the hotel while my son and granddaughter stayed at LynneAnn;s Campground. They have two dogs. For several hours while we went into Eagle River and had lunch and shopped, their two dogs stayed in our room. They could not stay at the campsite for obvious reasons. The day we were leaving, the manager charged us $60 plus tax because the dogs were in our room. He said the dogs are only to be on the other side of the building, but of course we didn't know that. So for a few hours (3 at most), we were charged $60. My husband paid it because he was the one at the desk, but I believe we were blindsided by this "rule" which we had no knowledge of. This building to my knowledge was supposed to be "dog friendly." Will we go there again? I'm not sure......

Pros: The pool and sauna were very nice..
Cons: I think when making reservations, you should be advised to the fact that there are two different buildings, because we were in the outer building.
Location: Nice walk trails all around.
It was a beautiful place outside and in, would go back again for the summer. Nice back yard fire pit, the deer come up to eat out of the feeders..

Comfortable Clean Hotel

Posted Sep 20, 2012
Pros: Great service from the owner, Mike.
Cons: A surprise bill at the end
Location: Beautiful, would be perfect for bicyclists, snowmobile enthusiasts, or just people looking to get away in a nice quiet area.
The room was clean and very comfortable, but the service from the owner is what made our stay great! He offered us charcoal to use on the grills outside, let us know where the trails were for walking our dogs, and we even noticed him bringing a large wheelbarrow of wood to a group of guests for a bonfire. The only thing I would say to guests staying with pets is to be prepared for a pet fee. Although it does not specify on Expedia that there is an additional fee for a pet friendly room, they did add that at the end ($10 per night per dog). The woman who checked us in (who I think was a new employee) did not offer us any information in regards to a pet fee (or anything else for that matter), so I was definitely shocked when an additional $60 appeared on our bill. The man who handled us when we checked out was nice enough to take the charge off for us this time.

Winter stay

Posted Feb 15, 2012
Pros: Nice pool and hot tub area.
Cons: You had to walk outside to get to the main hotel area for breakfast, pool and hot tub.
Nice place, a little pricey for the quality of the hotel.
