Four day break

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff and first class facilities.
Cons: Offer Real Ale in a least one Bar not just Euro fizz throughout! Parking is in a multi-storey car park 10 minute walk away up a hill.
Location: Town centre location and close to shops, historic locations and Ferry Terminal
Only problem we had was the sat nav in our hire car kept trying to take us down a road that had been pedestrianised. We could see the hotel but could not get at it! After parking and walking to the reception we found the receptionists were most sympathetic and helpful..the concierge went out of his way to assist. The room we had was on the fourth floor overlooking the Museum and away from the very noisy Brasserie Bar on the hotel front. The hotel's first floor restuarant Siroco was superb. Excellent service and top quality food and very good value for money.

Nice hotel and very central

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Cons: Improved customer care training for a few staff.
Lovely comfortable hotel. On the whole staff very polite and helpful just a shame about a couple of rude unhelpful ones. Having said that would recommend to friends and would definitely stay there again. March 2015

65th Birthday Present

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: Everything except the building work to the RHS of the hotel the reversing bleep of a front end loader is not the best thing to wake up to.
Cons: Not a major negative but the rooms are getting close of being in need of a bit of a makeover. Having said that everything worked.
Location: If you like the sea and working ports this is the hotel for you. The centre of St Helier is about a 3 minute walk away with a great selection of shops
We booked this hotel mainly for its location easy walk to the shops and parking close by. We paid a premium for a front balcony room 404, unfortunately Expedia failed to mention the building work currently underway across the road, not the hotels fault but currently the front of the hotel is noisy in the early morning. We ate in the Sirocco restaurant expensive but well worth every penny in our view the chef's were part of the entertainment in the evenings well worth sitting at that end of the restaurant. The rooms are looking a little dated but were comfy very clean and everything worked. The staff were the highlight of our stay they could not do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Pros: It has a good location, high standard of accommodation and facilities with friendly, helpful staff.
Location: Excellent central location near to harbours and shops. Also handy for bus station. We found the buses really good for getting around the island.
We arrived before the check-in time so they looked after our bags and put them in our room when it was ready. We went for the deluxe double (gold) room which was nice and spacious with a balcony. Very nice bathroom with separate shower cubicle and TV to watch while in the bath. The traffic outside is quite busy and there was building work going on on a nearby site but with the balcony patio door closed neither was a problem. The pool at the spa was lovely and the spa staff very helpful. St.Helier in February is very quiet and after eating out on the first night and being one of 4 couples in a huge dining room, we decided to eat in the Royal Yacht's Cafe Zephyr on the second night. The food was good, a little on the expensive side, but the place was really busy with a good atmosphere. Hotel breakfasts were very good. Almost all tourist attractions are closed midweek/weekdays in February.

Good central location for St Helier

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Plenty of choice for restaurants and bars both in hotel and close by. Food in hotel excellent, breakfast really good and served until 11am
Cons: Table booked for 8.30pm not available on arrival.
Location: Close to Marina, variety of shops, restaurants and bars close by. Really convenient for bus station if you wanted to travel around the island.
Enjoyed a nice weekend at this hotel for our anniversary. Very popular and busy even in March when weather not very good. Silver Rooms are very small but comfortable, if you would like a balcony book Gold room.

Disappointing with booking condition & Reservation

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: The spa & food were good.
Cons: The hotel need to let people know early since booked it, not allow adult more than 2 in the room. That we can cancel. Not put us in the corner.
I've booked the Platinum Double to stay 2 adults + 1 extra bed for 1 adult on 10/2/15 and hotel confirmed my booking to stay on 21/2/15. And not hear anythings until 20/2/15 at 5 pm. that pass 10 days ago when I booked. The hotel staff sent me an email on 20/2/15 at 5 pm. to let me know the hotel cannot accommodate 3 adults in 1 room that to late to cancel as pass period cancellation. The period cancellation deadline on 20/2/15 at 11.59 am. How can I do? after that I called to the hotel, they're want me book another 1 room for extra person. This point made me very disappointing, I don't want to stay with them anymore. The hotel should told me early, we not allow to share the room for 3 before pass the period cancellation. When I try to cancel, they said already charge my money on credit card, I can't cancel it. If they, let me know before I will cancel this hotel and will book some hotel let us stay for 3 in 1 room. Finally, I lose my money as I need to book another room for 1 to stay. Also, I travel with 2 elderly that I need to look after them. That why I book the room to stay for 3. I've check hotel policy before I book. The hotel policy : All older children or adults are charged GBP 25 per night for extra beds. But hotel sent me an email to late, they can't put an extra bed for extra person. That I will not stay this hotel again, so disappointing.
