A great spot to stay on the island for a few nights! Parking is available @ the inn and is close to town so you can easily walk to dinner or shopping without having to find a parking spot! Very welcoming, friendly staff. Beds were very comfy, enjoy a nice continental breakfast and then relax with a beer by the little pool after a day at the beach.
A great find!

Stayed at Caneel for one week. Room on Hawksnest beach. Enjoyed the peace and quiet at Caneel. Great staff, great location, great food and fantastic drinks. If you enjoy these things, Caneel should be at the top of your list. On the other hand, if you are looking for a Sandals type resort, this is not the place for you. Caneel is all about peace and quiet along with luxury.

We stayed 7 fabulous nights at Gallows Point. I can't say enough great things about this "resort." Our condo was beautiful, immaculately clean, with a sitting room, awesome kitchen, king sized bed, and huge walk-in tile shower. The view from our deck was outstanding, and at night it was magical to see the lights on St. Thomas. We discovered great snorkeling right off the back of the property and enjoyed the warm pool afterwards. The other guests we met were so friendly, and the whole staff couldn't do enough for us. I will definitely be returning to St. John and stay at Gallows Point. We didn't need to rent a vehicle, as there were wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance. Thank you, Gallows Point staff for helping make our vacation a dream come true! Oh, and the Gallows Point shop was well stocked with everything you could want, along with great gift and souvenir items.

Impeccable accommodations in paradise. Stunning views. So clean, peaceful, safe, and comfortable -- and only a short walk from all the action. Cabs to beaches are easy to get. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. All the perks of staying at a hotel with a villa feel. Plus great sunset views from the pool.

Staff very helpful. Liked the golf cart service to move around resort. Ease of obtaining taxi service. Ideal proximity to beach and pool. Excellent service at pool side. Marketplace proximity was great and food available there was excellent. Snorkeling trip offered by the resort was well done.

Such a cool once in a lifetime experience everyone should have! Reconnect with nature and whomever you go with. Views are spectacular! Wish they had food and some kind of night entertainment. That would have really made the experience top notch.

THE WHOLE HOTEL WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THIS MADE FOR SOME WHAT UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE STAFF WAS AWESOME. THE CONCIERGES WERE VERY HELPFUL WITH PLANNING OUR STAY. THE POOL WAS GREAT. LOTS OF CHAIRS, UMBRELLAS, AND CABANAS TO RENT. MY 7 YEAR OLD ENJOYED THE KIDS CLUB, LOTS OF ACTIVITIES TO KEEP HER BUSY. THE BEACH IS NICE BUT QUIET. NOT MUCH TO DO BUT ENJOY THE SUN AND THE WATER. WITH 3 KIDS THEY GET BORED REALLY FAST. OUR ROOM WAS OK. WE STAYED IN A VILLA WHICH IS FAR FROM THE MAIN AREA. THE MASTER IS UPSTAIRS WITH A VERY SMALL BATHROOM. THE LARGER BATH IS DOWNSTAIRS. THE SHOWER LEAKED THROUGH THE WALL WHICH KEPT THE BEDROOM FLOOR (BESIDE THE BED) WET ALL THE TIME. THE CARPET HAD NOT BEEN VACCUMED UPSTAIRS, AND SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE CHOCOLATE MILK WAS ALL OVER THE WALL AND LAMP ABOVE THE MASTER BED. WHEN NOTIFIED THE MANAGER ACTED AS IF WE HAD PUT IT THERE. THERE WERE ANTS IN THE BATHROOMS. AND WE DIDNT HAVE ANY KIND OF VIEW.

Everything about Estate Lindholm was lovely. It is such a welcoming, beautiful place. Brian and Suzanne were both personable and a wealth of information, it was like visiting old friends. The views from this place are too much to describe. This was our first visit and we hope to make Estate Lindholm a regular getaway. We had a wonderful experience and appreciate the care these people have taken to make this place wonderful. The grounds are lush and beautiful, the rooms are very clean and well equipped. The only negative i have is no snack bar, we had to make a run for chocolate and ice cream. I can overlook this minor detail with everything else that they offer. The staff deserves a big thankyou!

Very nice residence near Santa Cruz. Close to ferry, town and taxis, but very quiet. (It is located on fairly steep hill - not an issue, but perhaps for some). Owner is super nice. Kitchen included some food and drinks.

The smallest of the Virgin Islands, St. John covers only 28 square miles. Virgin Islands National Park takes up two-thirds of it, and includes the popular Trunk Bay, Annaberg Sugar Plantation, and Watermelon Cay. Streets wind through colorful buildings in Cruz Bay, the biggest town and center of the island’s tourism. Many locals live in the more laid-back Coral Bay area, on the island’s east side.
