Downtown Hotel Close to Water

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Location close to the waterfront, shopping, and restaurants.
Cons: Light was out in the bathroom and toilet seat was loose.
Location: Lots of bars/restaurants and unique stores.
Great location, staff were friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were large, bed was comfortable, liked the extra pillows. The breakfast was really good, enjoyed the room and variety. This is definitely a place for couples.

Unique downtown hotel.

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The location is the best. We were right on the waterfront. The continental breakfast was adequate and the breakfast room was clean and modern.
Cons: The bed and pillows could be better. The linens and other room amenities were fine.
Location: Being located downtown made for easy access to entertainment, restaurants, bars, and shopping. For us, it is the best location in the city.
Our three night stay at the Murray Premises was excellent.

Charming, historic hotel.

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: The historic nature of the building was striking. The rooms were nicely decorated. The continental breakfast was satisfactory in a very nice room.
Cons: The bed linens were fine, but the pillows and mattress could be more comfortable.
Location: The downtown location was excellent for restaurants, bars, sight seeing and attending events. Being right on the waterfront was wonderful.
We spent three nights at the Murray Premises and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's unique structure is so much nicer than the cookie cutter hotels.

What a great place to stay!

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: All the staff went beyond the call of duty in their care of us. We must give a special mention to Os who looked after us wonderfully.
Cons: It would be hard to think of any improvements really.Perhaps a normal kettle in the room for us non-coffee people.Other than that it was perfect.
Location: Excellent location, close to amenities, eateries, harbour etc.
The Murray Premises Hotel is a great place to stay! From the moment we arrived we felt looked after and that we mattered as individuals rather than being just another couple of guests. As we were booked in for two weeks the room upgrade was most welcome but having said that the first room we were given was very good. The upgrade was quite a lot more spacious. Our luggage was moved whilst we were out and the whole process was very relaxed. We both celebrated our birthdays whilst staying and the gifts from the management were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend The Murray Premises Hotel to anyone considering a visit to St.Johns.It is ideally placed for downtown, eateries, the harbour and sightseeing.

Beautiful stay, we hated to leave.

Wanted a romantic night away and this hotel was all we could have imagined! Quiet, rustic and super cozy. We loved our night together. The bed was like laying down on a cloud. Cannot wait to come back sometime for another enjoyable stay.

Was there for six very good hours. Didn't like going out to car in rain twice. One to get plate number and two to put card on dash for parking permit.

Hotel close to George St. and restaurants!

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Beautiful room, comfortable bed and bath, fabulous continental breakfast, super clean hotel!
Cons: Sound proofing! Children were noisy the entire time and up so early; it was a night with very little sleep.
Location: Night life on George; restaurants for good food. We ate at The Gypsy Tea Room next door and the meal was super!
Children in next rooms were too noisy; jumping, running, crying etc. the entire time.
